No Better World Now

In the years preceding the endless wars of 2028 and 2029 we reached the new normal of 2030 that many believed would never materialise, almost 87% of the worlds population has been decimated from the past decade of Covid, Vaccine related illnesses, death, Famine and Endless Wars never before seen on a global scale.

The remaining survivors had to relocate and build small localised interconnected communities to fend off the endless government agencies, that constantly pillaged, plundered and stole supplies for their leaders left behind by their elite masters, who secretly scurried away at night into their hidden bunkers without warning.

It was spring of 2022 when all hell broke loose, it began in the United States just before the Spring term election, desperate people with nothing left to lose became disenfranchised with the Totalitarian Democratic Government that evolved from the never ending lockdowns and mandates and began rioting and looting across the States Capital as the Democrats tried to silence decent from their own ranks to join forces with the Deplorables, absolutely nobody escaped the purge that followed.

On an early Spring Morning amidst widely spread intelligence online of an attempt to steal the mid term elections, from those the people chose to vote for in overwhelming numbers and as the ruling parties supporter numbers dwindled, it had become blatantly obvious to all American's that this had to end, they didn't even attempt to hide it any longer.

En route to a political rally in support of a Democrat facing massive losses, The Presidents convoy was attacked and completely destroyed, from the air on the streets of downtown Washington DC, drones packed with explosives descended on the convoy out of nowhere, the secret service were unprepared, I guess they felt the people would continue to role over, *"What a surprise that must have been".*

Within twenty four hours the governments alphabet agencies went into overdrive, seizing utility companies, food distribution hubs and warehouses. shutting down media and internet service providers, the United States went into total darkness.

What followed was a devastating purge of decenters, the government agencies faced heavy losses in those early days, enough so to make them try to walk back their decisions,*" But it was already too late"*. Nobody was buying their lame excuses any longer.

Law enforcement officers resigned in record numbers and military personal went A.W.O.L *"Absent Without Leave"*. Those that remained suffered numerous defeats at the hands of the baying mobs hell bent on vengence.

At night cities across American became burning inferno's as once Historical buildings burnt to the ground, landmarks were blown to smithereens, every country of the North and South American continents fell within days, Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, Cuba, Venezuela in a domino effect that ricocheted around the globe.

China invaded Taiwan, Japan and the Philippines in one strategic swoop, against Indiia's approval who quickly took sides against China, Russia not one to miss an opportunity begain invading the Czech Republic, Poland and Austria but was met with fierce resistance from European Nations.

The middle east wasn't slow to show it's hand and Iran and the U.A.E began to attack Israel who in turn retaliated, civil wars on top of world wars descended into madness across the once moderately peaceful world, before they had to try to eliminate us all..

In those moments of madness nobody is sure exactly what happened, there are many unsubstantiated rumors, but some speak of the mushroom clouds, I never seen them but others have harrowing stories of the misery that followed to tell, besides I have never been much of a story teller. *"But I will try my best".*

There have been reports of some communities emerging from the ashes but barely surviving as hunter gathers, trying to piece together some resemblance of the old World we left behind in what at times feels like forever.

Cities once filed with children's laughter and the bustling of traffic, were no more having gone quite and turned to ruins, nobody goes to these places anymore, picked clean of any resources during the governments war on the people, which was first directed at crypto HODLers who became local merchant traders and because of their use of the only currency that was accepted by tribe leaders in rural area's.

Scavengers have all but disappeared on died off, we barely ever see new faces these days and avoid those wearing any form of uniform, they are usually only after what others might have, or in search of mankinds final hope.

There is widely discussed belief that a group of crypto enthusiasts have reached an offshore Island somewhere in the Pacific and have managed to re-establish a power grind and cryptocurrency monetary system, although it is unclear exactly how, some say they have reinvented a bluetooth person to person operating system, but the story remains a little vaige.

Still I live in hope that the belief is true. we all need extra hope these days, *"I mean things couldn't get any worse"*. Right?.
