Kate

In the movie Kate an orphaned kid is taken is by Woody Harrelsons character a rogue CIA agent with a Shadow Agency that trains assassins to do covert missions against some of the worlds most dangerous criminals.

When she kills the brother of the most powerful leader of the five Yakuza Families in Japan, she is betrayed and poisoned with a radio active material that kills within 24hrs.

She sets out to enact revenge on those responsible and embarks on a dangerous solo mission to track down and kill everyone responsible, starting with Kimjii the Yakuza leader and anybody that gets in her way.

Kate is an action packed movie with some great action and fight scenes, an interesting storyline with many twists and turns along the way, a story of survival and payback at all costs, when you have nothing left to lose you will risk everything to make those responsible pay the ultimate price.

While hunting those responsible Kate kidnaps the Yakuza leaders niece, the daughter of his brother, that she killed.

The pair form an unlikely bond and friendship while being counter hunted by the Yakuza's most loyal and dangerous assassins, pursued through the back streets of Tokyo as the Yakuza go on an all out war against a woman that poses the ultimate threat to their organisation and leadership in the criminal underworld.

THE SOUNDTRACK

The original motion picture soundtrack consists of a collection of Japanese Rock and Pop band tracks, which I am unfamiliar with, but give a realistic and dark feel to the movie, that encapsulates the atmosphere really well, you can read a full list of tracks along with further information about the Rock and Pop tunes and the bands that perform them HERE at Screenrant.

MY CONCLUSION
Kate is an interesting movie to say the least, a really enjoyable watch, that is put together really well, with some great scenes that are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat, it is probably one of the best female lead action movies I have watched this year, definitely up there with the recently released Black Widow.

If you haven't had the opportunity yet, this is a good movie that I would recommend to fans of the crime or action genres to see, it encompasses the age old secret agency take down of the worlds most dangerous criminal organisations quite well.

How well will Kate do against the Yakuza in a twenty four hour period is anybodies guess, because I ain't gonna spoil it for you, so if you would like to find out you can watch the movie on Netflix and find out for yourself, but I will say it will surely be worth your while.
