As a health professional, I need to learn different health facts which I can apply at work. One way of doing that is watching videos on YouTube pertaining Caregiving101, health facts and techniques and one of my favorite health professional vlogger is Dr. Alan Mandell. I'm learning a lot of ideas and information through his health-related videos. Here's one important technique I want to show you which is helpful in removing toxins and unwanted substances in our body. This is called Lymphatic Drainage Technique. I've been using this technique since last year especially if I have cold, and if my sinusitis and tonsilitis attack, so far it's helpful to me.
Our Lymphatic System is a very complex extensive system made up of vessels and nodes that allows our system to detoxify. It allows the interstitial fluid combound within the cells. This is what allows our Immune System to stay strong and healthy.
When our Lymphatic System is not working at it's maximum potential, this is where our sickness starts to come in. Lymphadeno, swelling, as well as any other symptoms that affect our overall health. This system helps the body get rid of toxins, waste and unwanted materials. The primay function of the system is transport the lymphs containing blood cells throughout the entire body.
It is critical to our body that we drain out excessive fluid to help detoxify, to help regenerate the tissue, to filter out the toxins and foreign substances to maintain healthy immune system. The body is always trying out to clean itself - we have external and internal barriers, pathogens, sickness, cold, sinuses, allergies - we have so many things to takes place and tries to fight our body.
This particular technique will gonna help filter out toxins, te help cleans and to help repair. People out there who's been suffering from pain, congestion, blood acid, and other toxins that irritating the nerves potentially causing pain.
This technique will be focusing in four areas:
1. Submental and Submadibular Area - drains from the sinus, the cheeks, the tongue, everything in facial part is draining to this area.
The submental glands (or suprahyoid) are situated between the anterior bellies of the digastric muscle. Their afferents drain the central portions of the lower lip and floor of the mouth and the apex of the tongue.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Submental_lymph_nodes
The submandibular lumph nodes (submaxillary glands in older texts), three to six in number, are placed beneath the body of the mandible (jaw bone) in the submandibular triangle, and rest on the superficial surface of the submandibular gland.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Submandibular_lymph_nodes
PROCEDURES:
• Put a little bit of lotion or oil on your thumbs that will smoothly glide onto the area.
Put your thumb underneath the parallel chin and slide up to the throat (back and forth).
Apply a little bit of pressure and do it for a minute or so.
As your doing that, your draining the submental and submadibular lymphatic system in your throat and drain back into the system so it could be cleansed out.
2. Occipital Regions (behind the skull)
The occipital lymph nodes, one to three in number, are located on the back of the head close to the margin of the trapezius and resting on the insertion of the semispinalis capitis. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occipital_lymph_nodes
PROCEDURES:
Press underneath the skull starting from the inside.
Massage in circular motion from the inside towards the outside.
Stimulate the occipital area for about a minute or so with little circles back and forth.
It extremely good feeling when it cleans out the whole region which is going to really make change when it comes to healing.
3. Sternocleidomastoid Musces (SCM) -the most important muscles on the neck. SCM plays an important role in the posture of the neck and the body.
SCM can be divided into four portions:
Sterno-mastoid
Sterno-occipital
Cleido-mastoid
Cleido-occipital
The sternocleidomastoid muscle (SCM) is one of more than 20 pairs of muscles that act on the neck. SCM has a dual-innervation and multiple functions. Another important function of SCM is to allow a correct function of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). During mastication a trigeminal-cervical reflex stimulates the activity of SCM, there is evidence that SCM intervention is fundamental for optimal TMJ occlusion. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK532881/
PROCEDURES:
Use your thumb and the second finger of both hands and place it along the SCM muscles on both sides.
Apply a little pressure then strip down and up your fingers for a minute.
After massaging the lateral SCM muscles, use your pointing and middle fingers and go right over the SCM muscles.
Strip down and up for another minute.
4. Superclavicular Area
Supraclavicular lymph node are found above to the clavicle, that can be felt in the supraclavicular fossa.
PROCEDURES:
From the center of the mandibular, place your two finges on top of the clavicles on both sides.
Do a little pumps on that area for a minute.Whatever that goes down, this will stimulate into the system and get rid of the toxins.
As you cleans out these areas, you'll gonna notice a lot of swallowing, dripping and flushing which is good because things are starting to accelerate. You should understand that, eventhough your isn't working Lymphatic System hundred percent.
This lymphatic drainage system will really make a huge change to those people suffering fr cold, sinusis, allergies and more. Do this technique as often as you like to. Let the toxins in your body drain.
I hope that this will make a tremendous change for your pain and your health.
