By culture we mean a society's ideas and ways of life.Actually it has a wide meaning.A society's culture comprises all of its ideas and ways of behaving.Language,music,moral ideas,ways of working and playing,the tools and other objects made and used by people in society-all these are reflected in a society's culture.Patterns of behaviour and action vary from individual to individual,class to class,society to society and country to country.Bangladesh has a long traditional culture.It is distinctive from other nations.But in the present globalized world Bangladeshi culture is being influenced by the culture of other Nations.Now Bangladeshi dress-style,social customs etc. have been greatly influenced by western culture.Palligeeti,Bhatially,Jarigan,etc are traditional songs of Bangla.But these songs are not so popular at present.Now people are fond of pop music or band sangit.The good effect of western culture on our culture is that our songs have achieved a new dimension with the western tone and musical instrument.The bad effect of western culture on our culture is very deep.Now our young generations are following western Culture in free mixing.As a result,they are fond of indecent western lifestyle.All theses are called cultural aggression.At this situation,to uphold our culture,we should be cultured and put emphasis on our own culture.
