Life is short. The world is aging. Time is fleeting.
Some little things I often forget to enjoy are the simple moments that I have with my parents. I am a family- centered individual. Everything I do is for them. However, as I grow older, I become more and more busy and my attention is gradually diverted to other things. This, oftentimes, make me overlook and miss the little things that I should enjoy with my parents.
When I was a child, I would always sleep beside my mother who would always embrace me and sing me a lullaby. Now, I no longer sleep beside her. Everytime I have a conversation with my father, I don't usually take time to enjoy it. Because of studies and social media, it seems like I am already missing the little things that I used to enjoy when I was still young.
I want to accentuate here that family meals could be a little thing for it's been part of our daily routine. But, I often forget to enjoy it. It is for a reason that lately, I have been waking up late and have been going home late, thus having no chance to join them during mealtime.
I would also like to share how loving my mother is. Everytime I go to school or whenever I go somewhere, she would always accompany me waiting for transportation. She would always offer me a food before she offers it herself. She would always ask me where I am and scold me for not letting her know about my whereabouts.
These are little things that I often forget to enjoy.
Now, I realize that life is short, the world is aging, and time is fleeting. Hence, I should appreciate these little things... little things that matter.
Our life is really very short and there are some events in this short life that take away all our laughter and happiness.
