Life has it. Everyday has a new hope for learning. Noteworthy, we have learned about the ABCD of life.
We started learning letter A which stands for ABILITIES. We are very much thankful for being taught with the basics. Now, we already know how to read, how to write, how to count, and how to listen accordingly, which are the essentials of further pursuits in life.
Next, we learned about letter B. B which is all about BEAUTY. We were taught on how to see beauty. As what Confucius said, everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it. For me, I found my elementary journey beautiful. Everyday was beautiful. There was beauty in our parents and techers who tirelessly and unhesitantly shared themselves to us. There was beauty in learning. There was beauty in playing with our peers. Indeed, we gained beautiful experiences and met beautiful human beings, both took part in our holistic development.
Consequently, we learned about letter C which speaks of CHARACTER. Our days weren't just spent for the enrichment of our mind. As a reflection of the belief of Aristotle, "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” We owe our parents and teachers a lot for molding us into God- fearing and kindhearted human beings who are likewise respectful, honest, diligent, industrious, helpful and cheerful. The lessons that we got from our epic days when we got scolded and reprimanded by our parents and teachers are definitely foundations of our better selves.
And lastly, we learned about letter D which represents DREAMS. We began to dream of becoming someone we would like to be in the near future. Many of us would want to become teachers to help children in hitting the books. A number of us would want to become doctors to treat sick and injured people. And, some of us would want to become soldiers to protect us. Anchored on our personal desires, we already started the journey towards the realization of our dreams.
Whatever we become in life, we will forever carry with us the learnings that we had with life's ABCD.
Yes, every human being has some or the other hope and to fulfill that hope we must learn from the beginning and move forward on the path of life.
