Rizal Park was named after the name of our national hero Dr.Jose Rizal as a tribute and honor to his name.It is also called luneta park because the area looks like a present ( lunette ).
The site was declared as national park on Dec.19, 1955. Built by a designer named Richard Kissling. Rizal Park is an historical urban park located along Roxas Boulevard, City of Manila, Philippines. It is one of the major tourists attractions. It is also one of the important site in the Philippines history: the execution of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal during Spanish era on December 30, 1896.
