The first time I heard this word, one thing comes from my mind and it is the cartoon movie.
I was busy taking pictures to commemorate the event, when a girl said that. I thought it was just the movie I know, so I didn't pay attention.
After I uploaded those pictures she commented "troll". And it makes me wonder why she leave a comment like that.
Because of my curiosity I search it on web.
In internet slang, a 'troll' is someone who starts trouble because they like making people upset. They provoke people with various means just for their own enjoyment. So to 'troll someone' usually you would purposefully act in a way that you know (hope) will upset the other person.
After understanding the word, I sent a message to her explaining its meaning and explaining what I did, that I was just simply taking pictures to commemorate the event and of course to fulfill my duty.
Thinking back about whats happening in our society, this word appears in any of social medias.
I thinks this become a serious matter especially today. We can't deny the fact that some people receive hate comment even without doing anything hateful.
I am a kpop fan and a kdrama lover. I've read a lot about some kpop artist taking their lives due to depression and living notes of why they take that action. Some of the reasons is that it is because of some hateful comments regarding them. Those hateful comments continue to bother them until they become mentally ill.
I don't understand people judging someone without even knowing them personally. Trolling people because you simply hate him/her? Trolling someone because you think he/she spiteful?
Is that the basis? Isn't so low of a reason to troll?
"Words is mightier than knife or sword."
It cannot hurt you physically but it can destroy you mentally. That shows how powerful the word is.
In conclusion, don't judge anyone when you don't even know them. Look yourself and the mirror.
Always remember that we are all human. We makes mistakes, commit mistakes, because we are HUMAN.
All of us are different from one another.
Nobody is perfect.
