Last Walking Tour of 2021😘

The long days of 2021 is in its last days. In few hours countdown, it ends for a new beginning of another brand new year. Hurray!! The world can't wait for the first of January, 2022.

The year has been good and thrilling with adventures. So many people visited many places they have not been this year, either by travel or vacation, or even picnic. Whatever way, the thrill is something to write about.

I have visited so many places within my country. The beach, the island, museum and other places is attraction.

Today, I decided to take a walk tour around my City. The weather was harsh and cold because of the harmattan. The wind blew heavily and sometimes, it blew dirt's. But it's just the season and we are used to it. It comes and goes.

I was talking this long walk alone. It wasn't my plan though but my friend was on an errand. I like it too because I will have more freedom to go wherever I like as I have no other to decide.

At first, I took a walk to the park, I found that a few people were there. This was really surprising because the park I know used to be crowded and in some occasions, people struggle for space to walk. Now the park is so free and is looking so wide. Wider than I ever imagined.

When I asked the security why there are few people around, he told me that it have been so before Christmas because so many people travelled to their places to celebrate the Christmas and new year. Until then I learnt that the city becomes less populated during the season of Christmas and new year.

Ironically, I also travelled back home to celebrate with my family and the people I was supposed to meet and exchange pleasantries travelled to their homes and villages to celebrate with their families too.

After viewing the area, I remembered there use to be an arts gallery in a university downtown. As I walked by towards the gallery, only few vehicle passed me. I could count the number of vehicle that passed In a place that used to be so lively and busy with users.

I walked to a painting on the wall that looks so beautiful and attractive. It new to me and I stood still staring at this beautiful work of art. After a while I walked closer to touch the painting as I remember some of my friends snap at the spot and post in their social media. It my turn to give my pose to this reality come true and I took some selfie too.

As an aesthet, I use to believe that there is a message behind every painting, in all works of art rather, but I couldn't decipher what the underlying message was and I still need to know that.

I left the scene after being entertained by the painting on the wall to the gallery I last saw for a long time now. Here is it with new, beautiful and outstanding designs and statues.

The above pictures and more made my day. I spent a whopping amount of my time looking at these arts and taking pictures of them. I was still talking the pictures when my friend who I was supposed to take this walking tour called my phone. She wanted to know if I was back because it was already late. I didn't check the time to know I was staying so long.

It was already late and I must take my leave. Only then I realized that I was alone in the whole gallery, I told my friend to come pick me up which she did as I told her about my walk tour.
