*Things you need to know about children*
1. They are friendly
Children are friendly in the sense that they feel secure with everyone they come across, they also trust everyone, and they don't believe you can harm them unless you give them an opinion. You can give them your opinion with your behavior towards them.
Do not take their trust for granted because they do know a lot of things.
There are these saying children those not know anything. I won't say it is true nor will I say it is wrong, but all I know is that they know everything that happens around them they know if you genuinely love them or not.
Note: Children are not haters they are lovers they love everyone around them, they don't hate you if you don't give them the impression, their heart is fragile so they won't want to harm them so they will hate you, they follow all you do both the good and the wrong.
Do not toil with their feelings. They are lovers but don't think they are fools.
2. They are energetic.
They are always active unless they are tired or hungry, especially when they drink Coke or Pepsi they gain more energy, and they can play for the whole day if they are permitted.
The energy they have could be utilized productively.
Ways as follows:
- House chores.
- Education.
- the sense of reasoning.
*House chores: Make them do some house chores like sweeping the floor, washing clothes like pants, socks e.t.c
Note: They will question you some questions like. Why should we do it? Why don't you employ a maiden? e.t.c.
Give them reasons why they must do the chores, and make sure they do it.
Note: If they learn how to do the chores it would go a long way for them, it could even help you when you are out, they would do the chores before you get back, and it would even reduce stress for you.
Education: You can give education if you don't value it. If you value education they will also value it.
Make learning and knowledge compulsory
They will be addicted to learning. Making it mandatory for them to read at least 30 mins a day would Go a long way for them.
At first, they will think it is punishment but later on, they will know the usefulness, when they read try as much as possible to ask them questions on what they've read so they will be able to retain it.
* Sense of reasoning.
You develop their sense of reasoning with the movie they watch. Movies on educational shows.
*Who wants to be a millionaire* *spelling bee competitions* e.t.c. are good shows for kids.
Games they play, like monopoly, Scrabble, motor race e.t.c.
Ask for their opinion on issues, and drill them so they can task their brains.
Give them tasks to do and time them, they will improve in the way they see things and their sense of reasoning will improve.
