During COVID-19, all educators sought a unique learning approach. What are your views on e-learning - Negative or Positive? Are you keen to know what kind of learning students will develop after delivering online courses? You need to know both the advantages as well as the disadvantages of online education faced during this coronavirus pandemic. After that you can decide. But for being impartial you need to read the explanation of the same factors as below.

Advantages of e-Learning during the COVID-19 Pandemic

There are many advantages to why people prefer online learning as a mode of education today. Online education offers dynamic access to courses that are truly immense. Below are some of the strengths you will learn while doing online studies:

  • Location uncertain: - The first advantage of online learning is that it does not depend on distance and provides education anywhere and anytime. Student participation is done worldwide only in ways of laptop and internet connection. It provides an opportunity to physically challenge students to participate in full freedom within the classroom. No need for any physical presence. Instead, virtual classrooms can help with proper participation.

  • No Time and Speed Boundation: - Virtual classrooms are completely different from physical classrooms where they can access 24 * 7. So, they are better in time. Even family members can participate in class discussions with students. No one will ask about your assignment. Students can do as they please. Also, there is no problem of early rise. You can also attend evening classes as well. Additionally, if the interview is skipped you can access it at any time as they are recorded. This is mainly for those who have difficulty understanding for the first time. They can listen and understand again.

  • Synergy: - Online learning not only provides an interaction between the instructor and the students but a student can also interact with other students. A student can share his ideas with other students and in this way the communication gap between them will be reduced. Each student has the right to comment on the work of other students. This is the most unique factor in e-Learning.

  • Quality Discussions: - In an online study, one person looks at the comments of others and then moves on to the next. This contributes to better participation because some students may skip the answer spoken by other students in the traditional classroom.

  • Focus Students: - In an online discussion, students respond to course materials and lectures delivered. The answer is given for those who are of interest. This results in small conversations. While students should participate in all dialogues but they are focused on their particular dialogue interests. It helps students focus on their learning.

  • Equality: - Teachers do not discriminate against students based on caste, color, religion, age or any other factor. The focus is on the student's answer according to their knowledge and intellect.

  • Access to material: - Easily integrate some guest experts into an online class. Also, students have access to all the lectures and courses that are accessible anywhere.

  • Creative Teaching Strategy: - Talking about adult education, it focuses on self-direction. Some students want remote instruction. However, some still rely on notes. Self-study creates an innovative and creative approach. Also, those looking for a paradigm shift in technology will leave bad habits and then move on.

Disadvantages Of Switching To Online Learning During The COVID-19 Pandemic Period

Above, I explained the benefits of studying online. Now, I will give some points about the disadvantages that act as a threat of choosing online learning as a way of learning. Below are some of them:

  • Non-Affordability To Technology: - If you want any online course or program to succeed properly, it must have good student strength to participate. The lack of having some deserving students due to economic or logical means may exclude them.

  • Computer knowledge. It is mandatory enough for both students and educators to have proper computer knowledge to participate in an online interview or course. For example, a basic level of literacy about the ability to access email is necessary for them.

In today’s era, people are advancing in technology. Online programs are based on tech-savvy gadgets. There are some adult learners who prefer online modes of education. During COVID-19, people would choose online learning platforms to study. Thus, it must be possible to bring about change in the revolution for entrepreneurs.

Absolutely right. Online learning is not a good decision. Every student can't afford internet charges. Some students belongs to those areas where there is no facility of internet, and infact there is also issues in mobile signals. Covid is harmful but if we follow all SOP's then we can save from this pandemic. But again long time vacation is not fair.
