Today we will talk about verses 97-98 of Surah Muminun.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
The translation of the verse is' And say, 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from Satan's persuasion.' 'And, O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from their presence.'
Allah first taught this dua to our Prophet (peace be upon him). Through this prayer we can seek refuge in Allah from Satan.
Imam Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) has written a great book on the mystery behind the creation of Iblis, in which he has described the details in this regard. Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that he is our enemy, but he is alive, that is why we are always careful. Allah says in the Qur'an that they can see us but we cannot. So when we know that we have an open enemy, he can come at any time, so we are more careful.
Ibn al-Qayyim further states that we can evaluate the good by comparing the bad with it. So taking Iblis as your enemy is a pious act. Satan has hated us since the beginning of our creation, and God has told us in the Qur'an that Satan is our open enemy. We do not have him as the real enemy.
God says that we should not follow in the footsteps of Satan, he will call us to sin. From the day Adam was created, he hated us and challenged God. He says to Allah, 'He said,' Give me respite till the day when they will be resurrected.
Iblis further says that 'he said,' You have led me astray, therefore I will certainly sit in your straight path for them. ' He did not say that he would be on the wrong path, but he said that he would be on the right path.
Then he says, "Then I will certainly come to them, from before them and from behind them, and from their right and from their left. And you will not find most of them grateful.
Satan has many tactics. One of them is to forget, to indulge in sins with vassals, to make the forbidden beautiful in front of people, to frighten (example: the fear that you will show when you donate, you will become poor now), to talk about things that you do not know. Another terrible strategy is to create strife within our Muslim Ummah and not allow us to be one.
The question is how do we survive the devil's trap? The first is to seek refuge in Allah from Satan.
The second is to read the Qur'an more and more. The 3rd is to do jikir. 4th is that we should always deal with good people, walk with them. Allah says in the Qur'an that Satan's plot is very weak.
On the Day of Resurrection, Satan will say, "There is no use in blaming me." I did not force you, I only called and you stepped on it.
We should seek refuge in Allah from Satan.
Thank you for reading.
