KINESIOLOGY
AND PHYSIATRY
Kinesiology and rehabilitation play a fundamental role in the recovery stage of patients, since it allows them to reach the fullest physical potential and tries to restore functional capacity, restore health and improve quality of life.
The Kinesiology Service intervenes both in the area of care for patients hospitalized for clinical or surgical causes, comprehensively addressing cardiovascular, neurological and traumatic respiratory rehabilitation. It also provides care in the outpatient area, in the Arenales center, where we have a service with fully equipped clinics and gyms, where care is provided to patients with trauma, rheumatological, sports and respiratory causes.
PROFESSIONAL STAFF
The service has specialized professionals who serve the patient with a global and interdisciplinary approach. In addition to being in permanent training, they perform academic and scientific tasks within the Favaloro University in the Career of Kinesiology and Physiatry and in the Specialization in Cardio-respiratory Kinesiology.
LABORATORY
CLINICAL ANALYZES
The Laboratory of Clinical Analysis of the University Hospital of the Favaloro Foundation has specialized professional human resources and the most modern analytical equipment, with the capacity to perform more than 2 million analyzes per year.
Performs clinical tests for outpatients and inpatients. Being a reference laboratory in various specialties, it also performs analyzes for other laboratories. Participates in basic research activities in collaboration with the Favaloro University and in clinical research protocols.
The Analytical Unit located in the Central Building assists the Clinical Analysis Laboratories of the Life Center, Arenales Center and Pilar Center. It has a Computer System (LIS) that allows all laboratories and doctors to be interconnected to make requests for studies and query results, which provides speed and security in patient care.
The Clinical Analysis Laboratory is authorized by the National Ministry of Health, accredited by ITAES and the Argentine Biochemical Foundation. Regularly participates in National External Quality control programs: ANLIS (Malbran Institute), Biochemical Foundation (PEEC program) and international: RIQAS (United Kingdom).

Clinical biochemistry (hepatogram, glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, lipids, liver enzymes, study of kidney function and others)
Serology (diagnosis of Chagas disease, toxoplasmosis, brucellosis, hydatidosis, syphilis and autoimmune diseases)
Virology (diseases caused by viruses: viral hepatitis and respiratory viral infections)
Endocrinology (thyroid and sex hormones)
Therapeutic drug monitoring (anticonvulsant drugs, immunosuppressants, antibiotics)

The Clinical Analysis Laboratory has agreements with public and private universities for training and professional practices. They also participate in the teaching activities of the Favaloro University
