Spending time on the Internet is a daily routine for a lot of people today. However, most people don't realize that they can earn money by merely shifting how or where they spend that time. Let me preface this article with the fact that none of these things are going to make you rich, but they will put a few extra dollars in your pocket for something you were already doing. And who doesn't want that?
Brave Browser
The number one earner on the list and the easiest to use is Brave. Brave is a Chrome-based browser that will pay you Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing their ads. The great thing about this is Brave will block all other ads you would typically see when surfing the internet. In addition to being able to earn, Brave is built with privacy in mind. If your online privacy is important, you'll enjoy Brave.
How much can you earn?
Now that I'm using Brave as my primary browser again, I earn around 25-30 BAT per month. The value of BAT at the time of this writing is $0.25 USD, which means $6.25-$7.50 USD per month.
Presearch Search Engine
I recently came across Presearch and wished I had learned about it sooner. Every time you search with Presearch, you get paid. The best part? It's connected to every search engine you can think of, including the dominant Google.
How much can you earn?
If you maximize your daily searches, you can earn up to 8 PRE per day (earn 0.25 per search). Meaning you could receive 240 PRE per month. The value of PRE at the time of this writing is $0.016, so that would be about $3.84 USD per month.
Some Other Options
The next two suggestions may not be for everyone, but I'm making some assumptions. If you're writing on read.cash, you're probably interested in crypto, and you might be reading articles or watching videos on the subject. If you are, then you want to continue.
PublishOx
PublishOx was the first crypto blogging site I learned about. I don't write there, but I do read articles and, more importantly, earn a little money for doing so. The way you earn on PublishOx is by tipping the authors of the articles you enjoy. A portion of that tip can be shared with you, the reader, so you get to earn while reading and learning.
How much can you earn?
You're able to tip a maximum of 6 times per day, and if you share the tip 80% for you and 20% for the author, you can earn about $3 USD per month. There are three coins that you could earn this money though, BAT, ETH and LRC. It's important to know that the first daily tip you make will earn you the most and then scales down from there. So at a minimum tip at least once a day.
LBRY
If you're like me and prefer video content, then LBRY (a.k.a https://odysee.com/) is for you. Think of LBRY as your YouTube alternative. Other decentralized video sites are trying to fill the gap, but I've not checked them out because I've never seen anyone say they prefer the other over LBRY.
How much can you earn?
You can earn anywhere from 0.5-50 LBC as a Daily Watch Reward. There are some other ways to make LBC, but they will eventually run out, so the Daily is the only consistent method. At the time of this writing, LBC was valued at $0.034 USD. Most of the time, you're going to earn 0.5 or 1 LBC, so it's not a lot. But it's better than nothing.
