Overthinking Leads Depression

When you think about something too much for too long then it's called overthinking. This is totally a man made disorder, While it’s human nature to think things too much through when making a decision or evaluating a situation
When someone is faced with a major decision like choosing a university, choosing or altering their careers, buying something, getting married or divorced then he or she faces overthinking. Actually some of these decisions are major, so people start to overthink which is not good at all. Because we should think at a limit, when we exceed a set limit then we get bad results which appear in our health.
Overthinking can also affect physical health, Overthinking is also often associated with mental health issues like depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress and borderline personality disorder. In this mental disorder, patients' thinking and feeling totally changes, meaning the patient becomes abnormal about thinking and feeling.
Sleep Difficulties
If you are an over thinker, you definitely face sleep problems. This is because your brain does not allow you to sleep when you continually think about something that disturbs you continually. So overthinking can lead to severe insomnia in which a patient can't sleep the whole night.
Anxiety
When someone starts to worry about the future then thi tension keeps us away from the present life. Too much anxiety is very bad for our mental health as well as for body organs. When you decide to catch your life in just one circle which is fully loaded with regrets, too many thoughts, then you can't be healthy mentally as well as physically.
Depression
As I said earlier, anxiety comes from overthinking and worrying about the future, and depression comes from overthinking about the past.
There are many other causes of depression as well, like an illness or a disorder., when you continuously think about your past then depression develops which ultimately starts many other miserable conditions of health.
Many people always indulge in past regrets, like why it happened, it should not have happened, I wish it could happen, I wish it could not happen. Seriously, all these thoughts are not more than a poison which we are slowly feeding ourselves.
Some suggestions to say goodbye to overthinking;
Start Timer workout
This is an excellent way to keep you fresh and concentrated on just one activity. Because it's boundary does not allow you to escape from this which ultimately set your mind at one point which is time and workout sets and reps.
Start to Cook Something Favorite.
Seriously, this is very helpful in focusing on a point, because when you start to cook something which you like most. No matter if you don't know how to make the specific recipe, just see a tutorial on YouTube and start to cook. This activity helps a lot to forget all other useless thoughts 8n the mind.
Start to Write Down your Thoughts
This is also a very good trick to start writing the thinking and random thoughts on a note and after writing, analyze those thoughts by circling good and bad thoughts.
Find Some Distractions
This trick is very beneficial for stopping overthinking. Try to find some distraction with happy, positive, healthy alternatives. Things like meditation, dancing, exercise, learning an instrument, and painting can keep you away from too many thoughtwhich are roaming in your brain.
