No doubt some insects are very beneficial for our crops, health and commercially. For example, ladybugs play a very important role in crops by eating different insects like aphids, mites and fleas, and seriously these insects are very harmful for our crops but ladybugs are very beneficial to reduce them. In this way we do not need to use more pesticides in crops, and we can enjoy organic fruits and vegetables.
But on the other hand some insects can cause serious health problems so, we should protect ourselves from these insects. Today I am going to talk about some really harmful insects that can transmit diseases to humans easily.
House fly
House fly is such an insect which is present in everyone's house, and house flies transmit different bacteria into human beings that leads to formation of diseases. Such as a bacteria salmonella typhi which is transmitted by house flies is responsible for Typhoid fever. Because when flies randomly sit on any solid food or liquid, then it easily contaminates our food with different pathogens, because flies land on rotting matter, manure, so the legs of flies that consist of 3 pairs can transfer pathogens and microbes from one surface to another.
So it's very necessary to stay away from these disease causing flies by taking some important steps such as;
We should always clean our kitchen, washrooms and overall home on a daily basis, and always try to properly dispose of rotten vegetables and fruits on time.
Garbage containers must be covered with a proper fixed lid, because flies attract towards garbage. Never let your food uncovered.
Lavender Herb
I want to tell you one of the best tricks to keep the flies outside from your house or you can visibly reduce the number of flies from your house by growing Lavender herb in your garden or backyard; this herb plays a very important role in repelling the flies outward from the house.
One flower which is also present in my garden is marigold flower which is a very good flies repellent due to the presence of a special type of scent. Actually an ingredient called Pyrethrum is present in the marigold that produces a unique odor which is helpful in repelling flies as these flowers highly increase the beauty of the garden. This is my garden's marigold flower which you can see in the picture below.
Cockroaches
Cockroaches are found worldwide, and there are around 3500 species of cockroaches worldwide. Cockroaches can freely move from garbage, bathrooms, gardens and drains towards human habitation. Like house flies, cockroaches also cause different diseases in humans like diarrhea, typhoid fever, dysentery and many others by contaminating the food with pathogens, because both these insects feed on feces.
Always wipe off all slabs of your kitchen properly every morning with the solution of water and vinegar, because vinegar is best to kill germs. Always make sure that all the drains of your house are properly fixed.
Cholera
Cholera is also a bacterial disease which is transmitted through contaminated food and water with bacteria vibrio cholera. These bacteria transmit from one person to another through fecal matter, and these insects play a role in this transmission. So always be careful, and protect yourself and your family from these dangerous insects.

The insects I feared the most are housefly and cockroaches especially that both insects are found in the toilet too especially pit latrine. We need to be careful with them as they transmit diseases to our bodies. Thanks for sharing.
