No one in this world that hasn't eaten noodles in their life yet and not to mention the availability of it since it is easy to find and the price is not big to afford for everyone of us wanting to have something easy to eat. The perks of people consuming instant noodles are due to the very few minutes it takes in cooking espescially to the busg people who has no time to cook for time consuming foods and who are far away from stores or maybe people who are in a very tight budget. Instant noodles are very convenient and budget friendly but is it really good to consume so much of it?

The ramen noodles are type of instant noodles packed with almost no nutrients. They are packed with wheat flour, vegetable oils and flavourings. They are sold in pre-cooked which means they are steamed and air dried. Sometimes they are fried to shorten more the cooking time.

If you are fun of watching kdramas or other Japanese and Chinese in dramas eating noodles will you have to know that they are eating fresh noodles. Those noodles are freshly served in soup form and top with ingredients like eggs, duck meat and vegetables.

Why Instant Noodles are Bad?

Instant Noodles are packed with so much sodium. We all know that too much for everything is not good which applies to the too much amount of sodium found in the instant noodles. Having a diet high in salt has been linked to an increased risk of stomach cancer, heart disease and stroke. What’s more, in certain people who are considered salt sensitive, a high-sodium diet may raise blood pressure, which can negatively impact heart and kidney health. If you don't know, instant noodles are packed with 88% of sodium amount but since ramen noodles are cheap and quick to prepare, it’s an easy food to rely on for people who are crunched for time.

Instant Noodles are packed with so much preservatives and flavourings. It has Tertiary butylhydroquinone used to extend shelf life and prevent the food from spoiling. It also has monosodium glutamate that when consumed too much symptoms would occur like headaches, nausea, high blood pressure, weakness, muscle tightness and flushing of the skin.

Doctors are experimenting the difference between fresh noodles and instant noodles. It is found that after two hours, fresh noodles were almost completely digested, the stomach broke down the noodles as it should. Looking at the instant ramen noodles after two hours showed that they were much less broken down, and almost fully intact. Dr. Kuo recorded 32 hours from the pill camera. “What we’re seeing here is a stomach contracting back and forth as it’s trying to grind up the ramen noodles. What many people don’t realize is that these cheap noodles that we slurp on, on a day-to-day basis at the office, in the comfort of our own home or even shared with our children, are actually dangerous to our health.

Instant noodles are hard to digest and your digestive system are having hard time breaking down the highly processed noodles for hours. It can also interfere with your blood sugar levels and insulin release if digested too quickly. The Butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) and t-butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) are considered as carcinogenic this means that they can cause cancers, anxiety, asthma and diarrhea if consumed too much.

In a study published in the Journal of Nutrition, it was found that women who consumed more instant noodles had a significantly greater risk of metabolic syndrome than those who ate less regardless of overall diet or exercise habits, with those who ate instant noodles more than twice a week being 68% more likely to have metabolic syndrome. This increase chances to get stroke and heart-attacks.
