Currently there is no one in the world who can be sure that he is 100% free from being distracted by something or someone in specific. The vast majority of distractions are harmful, they prevent you from carrying out the action that we are carrying out in the first place, from complying with it with efficiency and quality. It can lead to many consequences, such as:
Loss of job
Work done poorly and without quality
Poor concentration on main tasks
Anxiety
Including death
Distractions are actions, thoughts and even ideas that remain fixed and disconnect you from what really should be paramount at a given moment.
As the years go by, the amount of distractions to which we are exposed in one way or another increases, so we must be careful not to play their game.

1. Electronic equipment
Wasting an enormous amount of time today in front of the cell phone or the computer. Have you noticed how many hours a day you are in front of a screen? This comes to cause that even when you want to work or concentrate on a specific task, we are aware of the cell phone, chats or emails. You are having lunch as a family and you have your cell phone connected to the Internet. You don't talk to anyone physically and you prefer to do it virtually. This practice is far from being the one that will achieve a more just society. You talk to your parents by video call and they have to say: "a kiss, because I realize that you are no longer attending to me when you look the other way." In itself, that other side is a page on the Internet, reading its content, instead of paying attention to what really matters at that moment, my father. In my time as a university student, classmates of mine lost the race due to distractions, online games. They were pending the 24 hours of the game, even in class they did not attend to her and they left before finishing to be able to defeat her game. It is hard to see colleagues fail their subjects even without appearing for the tests because they are playing at that time. Not only the career, his social life and in the case of several even the girlfriends. It is definitely not a recommended practice. Raise the head of the cell phone and disconnect it from the Internet, turn off the pc for a while, put the console aside, the world is waiting for you.

2. Not a pleasant work environment
If your work conditions are not ideal, then you will lose much of your time distracted. Eventually your job performance will decline and affect your economy, even being fired. Imagine working in a place where everyone goes on their own regardless of the others. Making noise or generating a chaotic atmosphere at every moment. Simply finding focus in such a place is an impossible task. The best thing that I asked to exist in a workplace is coordination, tranquility and that everyone has an influence on maintaining a regulatory order and harmony. On these occasions the distraction is not carried by you, it is influenced towards you constantly by others. If this does not improve over time, you should rethink another place to work and be more efficient. Luckily I have not had places like this, although I know some that I would not like to stay there for a moment. Avoid them at all costs.

3. Unexpected visits to work
This distraction will undoubtedly get you out of the task you were developing for a long time. The longer the visit extends, the worse it will be later to catch the thread of what you were doing. Try by all means to avoid it. Talk to them so they avoid these types of situations. After the initial surprise, which will surely collide with your initial schedule for the day, because there comes a time when you completely disconnect from everything. To recover the initial activity would be a great task that very rarely can be achieved.

4. Smoking
Of all the distractions, this is the one I like the least. Apart from the fact that smoking damages your health, and that of those around you even more, it is a strong reason for those who exercise this practice to disengage from work. I have colleagues who smoke and while we are involved in an important task that is half finished, they come up with the phrase: "I'm going to smoke a cigarette." This is quite annoying, because you question his ability to focus on the task itself, or as if he does not pay attention to it. I do not recommend smoking at all. A smoke-free environment is the best thing that can happen to us. If you are a person who smokes, I do not judge you, everyone does what seems most convenient in their life. Take these lines as an experience of someone who suffers it. Nothing more.

5. Need to search the Internet constantly
This distraction is very common in today's society. Browsing for information constantly will make you only think about that. You are working and all you want is open Google and write the first thing that comes to mind. It does not matter, afterwards you will continue clicking and reading for interest, the loss of time is guaranteed. It doesn't mean it's wrong, but if it disengages you from what you really should do, then yes.

6. Addiction to social network
If you are one of the people who are constantly checking your profile on social networks, constantly posting everything that happens in your life at every moment, or reviewing the lives of others, then you have a really serious distraction problem. This is without a doubt one of the worst that I have ever existed. They will make your mind be elsewhere at all times. It will be difficult for you to focus on really easy tasks, and you will not pay attention to anything more than that. Avoid being connected, let life flow a little physically, not virtual. Do not count each moment what activity you are doing, what photo you took, or what drink you are enjoying. Social networks will grab your attention to a degree never seen before, consuming a good part of your life. It can even be depressing, since the feeling of getting likes and positive comments is too much, that if a post or photo does not have them, they depress you, or if they are bad comments, you feel marginalized and hated by society, and not there are few negative effects that this carries with it.

7. Driving Distractions
The most dangerous thing you can do when you're behind the wheel is to get distracted by something. You will simply have a guaranteed accident. In many countries that keep statistics there are hundreds of deaths a year due to distractions. Driving while intoxicated or talking on your cell phone while doing it is not a good combination. While driving you must be 100% focused on the driving activity. If they call you on your cell phone, what is more important? The call or your life? As if you have travel companions, talking or listening to loud music in your car will prevent you from hanging out on the road.

8. The noise
This is a distraction permeated in our society unfortunately. The neighbors play loud music as if they were in a disco. Cars pass through the street honking their horns for pleasure as if there were no tomorrow. It is really annoying and will keep you from concentrating. Living with a noisy neighbor is the worst thing you could ever experience. Personally, I had one, we just moved to the new house. The music he played was so loud that it seemed like it was in my room that he was coming from, and all this, until late at night. You couldn't focus on absolutely anything. After several conversations with him, he managed to understand that his right culminates where mine begins and he did not raise the music to extravagant levels again.

9. Emotional feelings
From very early, when we enter adolescence, it often happens that love for an impossible girl or boy comes into play and that it keeps you in limbo at every moment. Also if we do not have a strong emotional and personal maturity, then distractions will be more frequent. Feelings such as envy, hatred, believing yourself better than others, and even insecurity in yourself, will make you move away from what should keep you centered. In this type, hatred and envy towards a person will be the worst you can experience, so you better not give way. Love every moment and stay in harmony with others.

Closing thoughts
I must say that I suffer, and I admit, from some of these distractions. I work on them, to eliminate them. At least knowing what they are will help me keep moving toward being more productive with my time overall. They are difficult to control, but we have to force ourselves to achieve it. Concentrate on each action you are taking, do not let anything or anyone separate you from it. You will have time to enjoy after what you like to do when you are done, I guarantee that you will be a better father, friend, worker and neighbor.

I think it's the emotional distraction is the worst in here. For it affect everything. When you have this one you can't focus on anything even if you try so hard. It's just keep on bugging you no matter what.
