Tikbalang

Did you know what Tikbalang is ? It is a Pilipino mythological folklore creature that always a antagonist in different magical or scary stories because it is look so scary, do you know what it looks like? They say, it has an upper body of a human being and a lower body of a horse (or vice versa) it also has a very long tail of a horse and a very long ears, it also has a sharp teeth that can kill you if they bite you, it has a red round eyes that when he look at you, you might be die in fears, it only has a horse shoe on it's both feet and hands that has a power of strength especially on it's feet, it has a very powerful kicks. They say that if this creature kicks you it's a miracle if you still alive after. But some Tikbalang is not harmful they just want to protect thier habitat which is the mountains and trees from the people who wants to destroy their home. In some beliefs if you have a Golden hair of Tikbalang you can tamed them.

Here in our country, Ancient people believe in animism, we believe that everything in this world included stone, sun, moon, stars, air, fire, land, trees,waters and animals has a super power, and those powers can be good or harmful in people. During Spanish Occupation in 1589, Father Juan de Plasencia documented the long-term Tikbalang awareness to peoples. Tikbalang has many powers.

• They can turn into human being and make themselves invisible to human (but not in other creatures) they use mimick a person and make themselves really really look like that person and use that to do bad things.

• They can Kick you very hard, as a horse they have a power of strength if they will kick you you surely getting hurt and you might die too.

• And last they can run so fast, it is a horse ability to rus fast that what Tikbalang get from being a half horse and half human being.

But if you are brave enough, you can tamed this Tikbalang by getting 3 Golden hair from them so you can tamed them and make them as your slaves for the rest of your life. They will do what ever you wanted them to do even it is against to their will and they can't harm you too. They usually live in the tall trees and mountain and they usually attracted to the beautiful women who has a beautiful hair and face.

You can avoid this creature by asking their permission if you will pass by their habitat and if you always bring some anting-anting, but if this creature played with you that you didn't know you just need to take off your shirts or pants and just turn it inside-out to avoid his powers.

Superstitious beliefs about Tikbalang

They say there is so many superstitious beliefs about Tikbalang but this is the most popular belief in all time.

They says that if there's a rain in a sunny day or it's raining in the hot weather there a Tikbalang wedding is happening. They said that this kind of weather is a blessing for this creatures that they get their blessings for their wadding day. Some people believe that the bride or the groom of Tikbalang is a human being. It usually happens in the foot of a large trees. They also said that if the wedding is done that human being can't do anything to bring her/his back to her/his life again and he/she will be stuck in the Tikbalang's kingdom.

There's so many rumors about the boy Tikbalang that they court a beautiful girl they will give everything that girl wants and if he will get that girl he wants he will give her a black rice and if that girl eat that food theres no turning back anymore, what Happened to her? Her soul will stack with the Tikbalang but her human body will become a wood and she is slowly dieing.
