Amos 3: 1-3
Prophet Amos did not speak his own opinion but the mind of God in the passage for today's devotion. The fact that Israel and Judah are chosen people of God does not give them license to sin. Israel thought that as God's elect, they would not be punished for their misdeeds. They had in mind that God's past salvation is enough for them to continue sinning without any consequence. It is wishful thinking to opine that past salvation can cover one to sin without one being punished. Believers should know that the salvation received from God brought with it the responsibility to abstain from sin. Doing otherwise will result in appropriate punishment. There is no cordial relationship that can exit between two parties unless there is agreed fundamental truth. No genuine relationship can exit between God and sinners unless they repent (Amos 3: 2-3). It is great fallacy and misleading to think that once you are saved, you are saved forever. It is heresy; misguided teaching from the pit of hell. Avoid it, desist from sinning.
PRAYER POINT: I reject any misconception that will send me to hell in Jesus name (Amen).
Amen..Thank you so much for the admonition
