Blessed new month everyone. Wishing that all of us will have abundant blessings and we will always be safe because the pandemic is not yet over. We are now in the eleventh month of the year 2021 and another month more we will be having a new year. I am so excited for the coming new year looking forward to another chapter of our lives.

First Day of the Month

November 1, before it is a holiday all people went to cemeteries to visit the tomb of their departed beloved. And as for me, I was always excited to clean and visit the tomb of my relatives for it means a family gathering that happens in times like this and I can eat many rice cakes which come from my relatives. And when the first day of this month comes it is always special because we are celebrating the birthday of my father. So it is not for the dead but also the living.

The first day of the month was so busy even we do not have now the privilege to go to cemeteries. I was busy at our house doing my chores, I was the cook for my father's special day. I was busy preparing the ingredients for the food we have on our table. As our tradition when there is a birthday we have rice noodles and I also cooked fried chicken for the kids and since we have rice cakes from our neighbor my cooking time will be lessened I do not need to cook other foods anymore.

And since it was a holiday I do not force my kids to study their modules but at the last moment the teacher of my youngest messaged on the group chat that we need to pass the modules for tomorrow so I need to check my youngest modules to make sure it is ok and we need to have one more page so I persuade my kid to finish it so we can pass it tomorrow. Glad that with a little bribe he do what I am asking him what to do. We are ready now for submission.

Then later in the afternoon, my mom asked me to buy her medicine so I ran to the nearby drug store and I am relieved that there was an open drugstore near our place. And when I return home got busy with our store I help my mom cook some orders for our customers. And I need to help her also when the closing time arrived. Glad I do not have to cook dinner for we have some leftovers from lunch that need to be reheat for us.

Got a busy day for me. But I am not complaining for many customers on the store means profit even it is a little it was a blessing already. This is how my first day of the month went. And later before we go to sleep we lit candles 🕯️ in front of our house for our loved ones.
