If I was to be honest.. I would say that life revolves round nothing but our sanity. How we see life is the most important thing.. How we react to it, is what yields the next moment. This is why I say life revolves round your sanity. Someone who sees life as a competition would hustle for everything. He would never see it as a free ride..however, someone who decides to enjoy life would say; **live** **life to the fullest!** This is one reason why I admonish you, to see life from a positive view. Only then would you enjoy the benefits it has to give..

The Silent Sound I woke up in the middle of the night Cos I felt things ain't right Then I realized The sound I was hearing was silent The sound being silent was not the issue The issue was that the silence was deafening So deafening it shut me out of every other sound Leading me ask..what is sound? To the sincerest form from me Sound is me paying paying heed to me Sound is me expressing me Sound is me not playing dumb Sound is life Life that speaks..

The Girlfriend He Wants.. I know a friend who's stayed a long while without a woman and it's starting to become a burden to him..why? This is because he's long overdue for a relationship, he's not growing any younger, and to be honest he's one fine dude who I expect to be in a nice relationship. So I'd give a breakdown on the kinda woman he wants, if you know any who's up and meets the requirements please let me know.. ****Light Skinned****: His first requirements is a light skinned woman. He loves this set of women without a sense of inferiority to the dark skinned women. He's a Nigerian, so don't think he's a racist. ****Big Ass****: Ola as I call him grew up with women with lovely backsides and since then he's had the desires to have a woman just like that..big ass and portable boobs to match. ****Beautiful Face****: From where we come from, women with beautiful face and awesome backsides are a set to behold. Ola wants a site to behold..😹😹😹 ****Smart Mind****: What's a beautiful woman without a smart mind? A BIMBO! No one wants a Bimbo for a wife, cos every man builds his future around his wife..Ola is no different. ****Fear of God****: The fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom. Ola an enthusiastic Christian wants someone who's also down in the faith. ****Financially Independent****: I remember him telling a girl he couldn't date cos she was financially dependent on her parents. A woman is supposed to be financially dependent on herself, that way anything her man throws at her would be like a bonus and she would hold a great sense of value in his eyes. These my dears are the requirements of my blossom friend.. A Nigerian in Lagos would be appreciated..

XRP: The next? In recent times, crypptocurrency has shown how great it is and people who invested in it from the onset are smiling because finally their investments are paying off. Bitcoin which sits comfortably at the rate of 5.2billion Naira is a major source of joy for someone who has as little as a Satoshi in Nigeria. Just when everyone who didn't invest in it was busy counting their losses and mourning their lost chances, Ethereum sprung out. To say the truth, when Ethereum erupted a few people who understood the chances it had of soaring gave it a chance while those who mourned for Bitcoin were still bedridden in the comforts of their anguish. **Then Smart Contracts happened.** Ethereum which used to sell at 10,000 Naira soared to 50,000 then 80..then a 100.. Now it's more or less impossible to just purchase one Ethereum thanks to the fact that it's becoming more expensive, and those who have are not willing to cash in on it yet. This is where XRP comes onto the fray. Litecoin and XRP are the cryptocurrencies which aren't making waves yet, but a wise person who has witnessed the uprise of Bitcoin and Ethereum would give no room for any slight chance. XRP had little or no value sometime this year. As a matter of fact, nobody knew of its existence but thanks to Ethereum's uprise it is also boiling with larva.. My advise? **Don't wait till it skyrockets before you consider buying**...

The Ones Who Said YES! Sleeping is one thing I pride myself in.. I can sleep so fluently that I don't need a drug to sleep for 18 hours in a day (probably it's a gift..😹). There are other people like me too. I remember Wizkid saying he's a good sleeper too, but is that even possible; **to sleep in times like this?** A statistics showed that about 1% of a country's population get born with a silver spoon while 10% are gifted the 'bronze spoon.' My question then is; **how about the 89%?** Were they born with a plastic spoon? Or with no spoon at all? **The realization of your financial status is one thing that would keep your head up.** It is one thing that would make you realize you have been sleeping for too long. Everyone loves that time of rest, no one as a matter of fact wants to stay up all night writing an article, or drawing out a plan..but **if all you do is sleep, you are doomed to slip into poverty.** **Poverty is not just in cash, it is in the mind.** The situation of not having radical thoughts that would push you onto acquisition of wealth. Yes, the situation of being so comfortable with life that you don't bother giving it a push. The situation of waiting on God without making a move. That is poverty! **Out of that poverty is penury birthed!!** **YOU HAVE BEEN SLEEPING FOR TOO LONG!** How long would you continue being okay with having just two square meals based on the fact that you couldn't provide a third. For how long? **For how long would you keep saying NO?** You have to be like the ones...**like the ones who said YES! The ones who said YES! to fighting for provision of their daily need. The ones who said YES! to eradicating poverty and penury from their lineage! The ones who said YES! to making the world a better place.** **Statistics have shown that the ones who said YES! are few, so my friend..there is still room for you to say YES! today.**

In The Gutters.. (2nd Entry) In the Gutters We find waste and trash alike You'd never expect to see man in it So when you find one in it People laugh while watching him snore They say; He's a **charming** drunk In the gutters So many things that are incomprehensible are found So after waking up to see a used condom by her side Abena dumps it in the gutters She was raped, with no stress How? She was soft like a **worm** Thanks to three bottles of beer In the gutters We expect to find dirty water flow through So when we see a man's documents by the pub We pick it up But we are **perplexed;** The front page had gotten torn. How did it get there? The owner drank to stupor while celebrating last night. In the Gutters We've seen dreams destroyed So if you can save a life We seek your **support**. I used a phone's clock while writing with my phone.

What are the effects of Alcohol? When a lady sees a confident man walk by, she can't help but wonder and say to herself, "how **charming** is he." It's become a thing with women, so much that men are now aware of it, so even when they are not, they pretend to be confident. The effects are actually damning as many pretend to be a Superman before their women, but in their hearts; they are puppies waiting for a part on the back. This is why, most of them turn to alcohol for solace. Alcohol, just like the **ashes** from a cigarette stick creates an illusion so strong that you think they are real, but when you finally get a **release** from its strong grasp, you realize you were only a **worm** illuminated by light so bright you locked like an anaconda. Alcohol is a man killer. People get drowned in it on a daily with the flimsy excuse of trying to feel alright. Well, one thing I can say is that Alcohol's effect are so victimizing everyone should run away from it. A few are listed below; it destroys the liver; it is a guaranteed causing effect of diabetes; it kills dreams; it dissuades men from saving; it is a dream killer. These highlighted points are little compared to the vast effects of Alcohol. So my plea is that you **support** anyone who you find fighting Alcoholic Influence. I used another phone tire whole I wrote with my phone.

Who Loves You Matters.. We are in a dispensation where the word 'love' is now used more than often intended. It now seems that all you need do to be loved is to do the right things. As a guy, to be loved; Smell good Have Money Look Good Be Intellectually Sound Be Vast in Matters/ Topics While as a girl; Look Sexy Smell Nice Be Humble Be Submissive Be Vast & Intelligent These are what the Society of today requires to make you become loved. However, this is a far cry from what love is all about. According to **Apostle Joshua Selman,** love is not feeling, though it entails feelings. This is where the Society is getting it wrong. The qualities stated above enables you have a positive disposition towards that person, not love. This brings us to feelings. **What are Feelings?** Feelings are temporary dispositions attached to a person or thing because of attributes shown. Feelings look so sincere which is why it is being mistaken as love most a times. A melodious voice is a great reason to love someone, but if that person snores and instead of you commenting the snore or smiling, you abandon that person, you were never in love, you were only led by your feelings to believe you loved. A person might pick a Banking career cos they think they are in love with it, only to realize in the far end that they only chose Banking because they saw others smile out the Bank, so they say to themselves "I want to be a Banker so I would smile out of the Bank!" The issue of who loves you is very important cos if you come to seem to be loved by a person, when meanwhile all that happened was feelings it comes to leave a mark on us. So **what is love?** Love to me is basically a combination of Sacrifice, Passion, Commitment, and Pleasure. If a person claims to love you and as little as one of these is absent, that love is void. Love is sacrifice in the sense that to facilitate that love, you forgo so many things that are toxic to that thing or person. It means you put the person's welfare or that thing's position as number 1. Love as Passion is the pocket where Feelings come into play. For you to love, you must have feelings. This goes on to say **feelings is a form of love, but love is not feelings. It is basically your willingness to pursue after what you love without being embarrassed.** Commitment is an expression of love because to love a person or idea, you have to choose to grow in the love for it. Sometimes, you have to pick it above other things. This talks about your belief in a thing which enables you stay glued to it. Pleasure is one detailed expression of love. **All work and no play, they say makes Jack a dull boy**. Unless you have fun and laughter from that thing you love, you don't live it. This is because love gladdens,it makes happy those who have it at heart.. Love is a beautiful thing, but what is more beautiful is having someone who loves you with all sincerity.

The Dangers of Cleaning The Ears. Probably you're a fan of cleaning your ears with Cotton buds. That feeling is awesome; you having your eyelids half shut, temporarily lost in oblivion, while having your senses been tickled. Well, that feeling is hazardous to your health. Recent researches have come to help us understand that the body is one full system which works in full capacity and efficiency. When the body gets injured, it heals on its own accord. When something gets broken, sensory elements are secreted to help it get fixed. Same thing applies with our ears. When the ear gets dirty, the most ideal thing to do is to get it cleaned (best with a soft tool like Cotton to ensure our drums do not get battered). Well, the ears do get cleaned..by itself. We don't need to assist the ear in doing its job, doing that only brings more harm. https://youtu.be/RE_OlSmXQsg This basically tells us that we need not bother ourselves doing the cleanup. Life is hard already..why make it harder?

Self Motivation: Mama's Recipe. (Official Summit) I started understanding what it takes to be a good Cook from a very young age. I was privileged to be the only child till I clocked 18, so Mama was all mine. When I mean all mine, I mean her love, care, and **cps.** CPS (Curry Powdered Soup) was Mama's offering for every interesting event. She was so good at it that Papa and his guest always asked for more. This is why I made sure I was around to watch her **cooking** it on a Sunday afternoon. It was fun, and not fun too. I never knew cooking could be that horrible. The sweat, heat and fatigue!! Oh Me Oh My!!! By the time we got to dressing the great Turkey I was happy again; this was the fun part. I not only got to grease the full bodied fat Turkey, I also got to have a taste from the little spillovers available. Mama was an amazing role model in the Kitchen, so I was always delighted to have a taste. Now when I remember all that happened, I can't help but join others in **laughing out loud** when they say they had a fun filled childhood; cos mine was not just fun filled.. It was food filled, Mummy filled, and most importantly; Love filled.. Seconds to go...

Fried Plantain. I intend using this as a test. I am not so good on free writes.. Check this out please, @wakeupkitty. My mother's food is one thing I always anticipate. It's like machine gun and bullet proof in the middle of a war. She makes exotic rice, soups, stews, name it..but nothing, I reiterate nothing can be compared to her **fried plantain**. Like every other thing she cooks, her fried plantain taste perfect. I've tried over and over to be like her but most a times I fail. Before frying she makes sure her plantain is properly cut in shapes and sizes that she knows suits her guests. After that, she baths it with a combo of salt, maggi, and pepper. This is the part I usually start with my failure; I usually put too much or too less. After that, she makes sure it spreads evenly, then refrigerates it for a few minutes. I don't know why, but five minutes later she brings it out, then puts her vegetable oil on the heated frying pan to heat. She usually knows when the oil is good enough, me? I drop a drop of water and if the reactions is so vigorous I know it's time. One by one she puts the plantain into pan to fry. They fry for a few minutes, are never burnt, and always have that golden yellow appearance. By the time you taste it, heaven's vision becomes clearer.. My mother's fried plantain? It's the best!!!

Brotherhood: Definition. You probably must have watched a movie where cultists called their fraternity The Brotherhood and thanks to that your idea of Brotherhood is a set of people who come together to cause havoc. Before I go on, I'd give a clarification on the word. **Brotherhood has two root words; Brother and Hood**. Also, according to the English Dictionary **it means a fraternity which men ascribe to**. However, **if we are to go by the colloquial meaning the definition we would get would better explain things**. As earlier stated, the root words for Brotherhood are Brother and Hood. This goes on to say that the brotherhood is basically brothers in the hood. By brothers we don't mean to say people born by the same parents. It is basically a thing which gains conception in the mind through actions exhibited. Brothers in the sense that when it calls for being there for one other a vote is usually cast by all parties involved. Brothers in the sense that they have a great level of understanding, love, and sometimes trust for one another. Let's not also forget the other part; Hood. **Hood is not necessarily in the sense that they are of the same habitation**. Sometimes, they meet online and develop great respect for each other and before you know it; one is behind the other standing as the Best Man on his wedding reception. On most occasions tho, hood means the same boyhood community, or the same primary or secondary school. In basic language; ****Brotherhood is a group of boys or men who have come to not just see themselves as brothers but carryout brotherly duties to each other notwithstanding their meeting point****.

Sticks & Axe.. If you have an understanding of Forestry you'd know that cutting a fallen tree into bits before technology was a thing tools like cutlasses and axes were made for. Knowing how to use the axe is what results to sticks. Unless you know how to pin the axe into a wood you'd very much be like a child who plays with a toy bigger than him. Application of this unto businesses is one line of action which guarantees success. Let's see it this way; our business or idea are just like the trees. With our saws i.e capital, we take it to the ground then with our axes we cut the tree into bits. This axe as seen here is one of the most important (if not the most important) tool to help convey our sticks to the audience that desire it. Our axe here is our approach towards making work yield result. For a footballer, his axe would be consistent exercises and quantitative rest. A business tycoon's might be studying the stock market. Whatever it is for you, one thing that would yield great result is your mastery of it. You can only be a boss over a worker you can pay by cash or kind. I remember taking up a digital marketing job; it turned out disastrous cos' I went into that job using head knowledge. I thought I could do it cos' it seemed so easy. However, few weeks into it, I was out of ideas; I didn't have an axe, speak less the mastery of it. Acquisition of skills to help you excel in a business is highly recommended as consistent failure only weighs you down and destroys your resolve to gain success. By acquisition, I mean; through reading books, taking online classes, and being a dedicated mentee to a successful practitioner in your field. Upon acquisition of this skill, you have an axe! What remains is the mastery of it. No matter the amount and quality of theory you get, you'd never get the results you desire unless you practice it. This goes on to say that mastery of your 'axe' would not grow overnight, rather consistent use of it would yield great results. Houses, paper, and furnitures are great testimonies to what an axe in the right hands can result to. It is however beneficial to note that mastery goes on to say that you are to first be a master.

Cryptocurrency: Africa Rising! In what seems to be like the smartest invention the World has ever experienced since Electricity, Cryptocurrency is sweeping through the world like a Storm. It has spread its tentacles with so much efficacy that it would never again lose hold on the elements it has garnered. Bitcoin which was created in 2008 is an initiative which is centred around creating a 'decentralized currency with transparency, better security, and easier access.' Its fame had reached all corners of the World, except Africa. However, activities in recent times has shown that there's light at the end of the tunnel for Cryptocurrency in Africa. Thanks to Inflation and a huge slide in Currency value, business startup was beginning to face undeserved persecution. Global marketers based in Africa were also running at a loss thanks to the exchange value of currencies such as Naira, Cedis and Rands, until wisdom was gotten through understanding applied to the knowledge of Bitcoin. With the need for a better transaction environment arising, cryptocurrency gained voice in Africa with Nigeria and South Africa standing the flag. It didn't have a smooth landing though. Central Bank of Nigeria for instance issued a stern warning against cryptocurrency on the 12th of January, 2017 saying it was a currency which was "largely untraceable and anonymous making them susceptible to abuse by criminals, especially in money laundering for financing of terrorism." South Africa on the other hand proposed strict cryto regulatory framework so they would not be held accountable for any losses, but that is an aside now. Africa is witnessing the greatest boost in 2020 as different countries like South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, and Nigeria have all welcomed BTMs onto their shore. BTMs are Crypto-based ATMs which help in facilitating faster crypto transactions. With this done, buying and selling of cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin and Ethereum are now easier than earlier envisaged. Finally, importers and exporters can now transact business without a fear of currency value. The different Financial governing bodies of these countries which are rapidly opening arms to Bitcoin have still not openly adopted Cryptocurrency. **However, with what we have on ground, we know the future for Cryptocurrency in Africa has a glittering hope!**

A Day To Remember.. Memories are what keeps tomorrow going, cos they help us see reasons why we need to act smarter today than we did yesterday. They also set our paths unto recognition with ideas that are meant for success' delivery. This is why I would hardly forget the day my ex girlfriend said YES to my proposal. It was the 29th of November, hours after her 18th birthday. Prior to that day we had been dating for 8 months. By dating I mean seeing how compatible we are while staying as friends who had an eye for a relationship. The reason why we lasted 8 months was because I asked her out in March and she said only till she clocks 18 would she have a lover. Then she asked one of the most challenging questions I have ever been asked; **would you wait?** For all I cared, this was a medium to gain some respect, so I said yes, I'd wait. **Unknown to me, what awaited me was something that would have a lasting effect on my life.** While dating we were buddies and talked about almost everything. Nothing bypassed us and before we knew it; we were in love. Despite her not saying YES, we were professing to each other how much we loved each other, but one thing still was missing; she hadn't acknowledged me as her boyfriend. I grew more impatient as time flew by. For all I cared, we could be dating now, but now that I deliberate over this I come to realize that this was one of the lessons memory of that time would teach me. **Perseverance:** If not for her courage and a desire to be dogged and focused on her dream of having a lover until she clocked 18, I wouldn't be writing about her today. She made me see that with focus, patience, and courage no task is impossible. **Laughter:** While dating, one thing that didn't leave our lips was laughter. We always found a reason to laugh, cos we were happy being with each other. Her voice was always a reason to be happy so even when I was downcast, all I needed to do was call her. **Women are Strong:** This was exhibited by her over and over again. She took magazines of bullets from people for my sake even without us dating. **Love they say is powerful, but women? They are more powerful.** **Every time the 29th of November graces me, I smile cos I know that was the day an Angel made me feel more special than a human being could ever feel!**

Single with Options.. In a recent song by Reekado Banks; an Afro-Pop artist, he talked about his love interest. These were the words he made use of when approaching her; You no need to tell me say you got options When they see you all the boys they dey love struck According to him, the woman who he intends being with is someone who has boys frolicking around her all for the hope that they would get her to say YES. ****This is how it's supposed to be; single with options.**** We find a high rate of suicide around the world today and love is one of the huge push that leads to it. Ranging from heartbreak to betrayal, and the need for a companion we find people take their lives out of hopelessness. ****They can't just imagine themselves being single again****. Being single is one phase in life that people are supposed to relish, but thanks to sitcoms, social media, and magazines any single person is regarded as an outcast. If truth be told we would however bring ourselves to confess that ****most people who find themselves in relationships are single without an option. In the face of the audience they just had the best night, but when they go home and wash off the makeup and unknot the tie, they realize they are better off single, but they would never come to that stage cos they're suddenly out of options.**** A singles person is one person who has his audience seeking the detail of his every move. They're interested in knowing his business growth, his weight, and every other detail; cos details like these are what would prompt their interest in you. This entails the fact that being single helps you grow on yourself. It helps you see yourself for who you are. It is a time where you learn to love yourself for who you are. It is not the time to weep and gnash your teeth in grief over not been whistled at by the boys on the streets. It should rather be the time where you work on yourself so whosoever approaches you would be worth it. This doesn't go without saying that people should be cautious in these times. In these times, you see females shun every guy with a straight and blatant NO! Easy Tigress, Easy.. My classical mind would rather ask such person to wait, and while waiting, I'd examine him inside out to see if he's worth a shot. This way, you are not to be held ransom if at the tail you decide the person is not worth a shot. Guys on the other hand could be a handful when they choose to be. Most guys who get as little as an admiration from ladies are experts in flirting. So far she has ass and boobies; they are taking her to the other room. This would only ruin your chances when you finally decide to choose one to be serious with Without much ado, we can come to the conclusion that being single is not a death sentence; it is rather an opportunity for self discovery, self love, and growth.

@Hyrret

The 3rd Watch. Israelites are one set of people without whom history would have no memory. The Islamic religion, Christian Religion, **the Faith (concrete belief of Jesus)**, and the Bible are all testaments to this fact. Take away the Israelites and we are loosing centuries of details. This goes onto saying that we can learn a lot from them. The Israelites like most countries have a God they predominantly serve. **That God is who they call Jehovah or Yahweh**. Yahweh is more or less the sole ruler, whose intention was to govern His people directly, but thanks to their desire to be like everyone they lost that privilege and went under the monarchical system of governance. This however did not completely alter the relationship between God and His people, **instead it strengthened their dependence on Him. This is why He still had, and has power over the policies that govern their lives. Policies like the Watch**. Just like the Greeks and Romans, Jews were known to have a night watch system instead of hours. Originally it was a 4-hour duration which started from sunset to sunrise, i.e; First Watch (Beginning of the Watches): 6pm - 10pm (Lamentations 2:19) Middle Watch: 10:01pm - 2am (Judges 7:19) Morning Watch: 2:01am - 6am (1 Samuel 11:11) However, due to constant review they changed the system and had it reduced from 4hours to 3hours. **Amidst these all, the 3rd watch which commences from Midnight till 3am was usually the most important. Till today it is.** Thanks to evil minds, witchcraft and demonic actions are prevalent in our society. Not only that, they have a set time; Midnight till 3am. This is the most Spiritual time of the day. It is the time destinies are shifted or lifted. It is the time to join occultic powers or render praises and prayers to God. Understanding of this is a tool every believer is supposed to have, cos not only are we supposed to depend on the **'Lord of Hosts'** for every victory, we are supposed to render prayers unto Him without ceasing. **Daniel Chapter 10 is a reminder as to why we should never put out our flames.** Religion is gradually eclipsing Spirituality. The fight is fierce, but one thing only determines the outcome; YOU! You decide to either play Religion and lose in Spiritual Battles, or not just be spiritually conscious, but spiritual fierce, that you may encounter Physical manifestations of your Spiritual activities.

Read Cash: A New Regime? The best way to start this article would be by recognizing those who referred me to this platform, I'm eternally grateful. Joining read cash a week ago was one thing I enjoyed doing..until..should I say..**a new regime ensued after the glorious reign.** I had heard tales of how beneficial read cash was. The points generated were something to put smile on anyone's face. It was a place of solace for me cos finally I could channel all the immobile writing writing energy I had unto lucrative yields. Like I snail, I started slow but picked up form in no time. Then it happened. The point system was being reviewed and upon a first view it looked like something promising, I think I just didn't decode the kinda promises they were. With the former system, points were being generated from a string of actions. With these actions and a good article, you were sure to cash out (even without submitting to a community), but what do we have now? Suddenly points are now becoming an item of luck. When you get one you are super glad, cos you don't even know what yielded the point. All of a sudden a post being approved to a community doesn't yield point, while also yielding points at the same time. Like, isn't that confusing enough. Then you go to the homepage, and you see articles which detail information about Bitcoin getting as much as $400 upvote. Are we all supposed to jump unto the Bitcoin wagon now? How come articles on love, motivation, kitchen, religious, and inspirational matters don't get this same treatment? Based on an article I saw from the read cash official, all of these are experiments unto getting the formula with which to run the platform. Well, I would say this experimental practice isn't yielding much. The components for the practical needs to be cross checked again. For now, we move...

Single Life: A must feature.. ****Reproduction was God's plan when He placed Eve in that Garden with Adam******.** However, reproduction doesn't just happen out of the blues. ****There has to be mutual love between two people, for that love to grow, you have to be married****. Yeah, I said it. ****You never know if you love someone unless you are married to them****. For you to be married, you obviously have to court; even if it's for a month. Before courting, you dated for a while. However, all of that details are not so important as the stage called ****single****. ****The single life is one point in a person's life which needs all the attention it cries out for.**** What you do in that time is what determines what kinda life you live when you get married. Men who visit the motel for sex would tell you that once they get a wife, they'd change..really? Two years after professing 'love' on the altar side chicks are still a prominent figure all over the contact list. You don't expect a habit you've practised for years to vanish into thin air just because you are now married to the 'woman of your dreams.' Shit don't work that way! Single Life is beautiful. As a matter of fact, beautiful is too simple a word to describe it.. More on this would come your way, just subscribe to this channel.

Mapoly's Sap Route.. My time in Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere (Mapoly) is one that deserves a stand on my wall. The memories are endless. It ranges from my first class where my course mates and me got chased out of class cos' we didn't submit an assignment, to how I got addicted to a Snack we called Konko Bilo, and then; **the legendary Sap Route.** Unless you are someone who got a daily supply of money, had a car, lived from a far distance, or was not an adventurer the sap route would never bypass you. Based on the fact that I lived at a distance not too far from school I seldom boarded a bus when I had **lean cash**; which was most of the time. The sap route was a long road which starts from Panseke Market to a gate inside the Mapoly Campus. It was one road with Clay as its soil, so when it rained we avoided it. However it was always a delight going by it; when you have company. I always had a group of people who I enjoyed the walk with. My beat friend then wasn't someone who was into long distance walking. So on days when he could, he'd sponsor my transport fare, but on other days he'd join if the company was large. The company was usually large and lovely. Different people from different departments plied that route noon time. It was always a place to mingle, laugh, and get sun bathed. Thanks to the amazing company, you wouldn't realize you had been on that journey for over 30 minutes. Most a times we were conscious of the time spent, but based on the fact that we had no money to board a bus, we clung onto the imaginary world while taking a trek home. I plied that route effectively for two semesters, until I met Ebun..

Extraction: The Need For Subtitled Copy... Extraction is a movie that has rocked my world. Ever since it premiered I had looked for a medium to see it until I did, but one thing stands. To have a lovely encounter and to not flip it out of your screen, you need the subtitled copy. They were scenes were Indian language lasted for over a minute, so unless you are a guru you would be left wondering what happened in those scenes. This is what prompted me to download the subtitle file. Like I expected, the movie swept me off my feet. Rating: 9/10

The First Day I Played Chess.. I just got employed by someone from my local Church. He owned a training facility which housed tutors on karate, dancing, phonics, and chess. I was to be the Secretary of the organization..but everyday I went to his house for a meeting or something, my attention got drawn to the Chess board. I would have picked it up one of those fays but I got this feeling not to, I should have followed it. It was a rainy day. One of the tutors was not having a class till later in the day so I engaged him in a Chess battle. After that battle, I was left with a strong motivation to better myself in Chess. I was battered, bruised and left with no chance of survival. I didn't get the opportunity to take out one of his pawns, talk less checkmating. I felt super abused that day, but being the kinda person that I was I looked for the positive from it; **never give up, rather get more qualified**. This was how my journey unto acquisition of Chess skills started. I hadn't been acquainted with the names of the officers, so little by little I got acquainted and before I knew it; I was taking out pawns!! Glory!!! This was a major victory for me, but I did not rest. I was on a revenge mission. Days past and I kept in getting better, until thus particular day. I was to face my oppressor again. I think we were having a mini competition that day (Funny enough, the person who had beaten me like a weak child was a newbie just like me) so I was paired to play Chubby (that was not his name, but I think he needs one). It started like the normal routine, he was taken out most of my officers, until I took out his Queen! There's this thing that Pride gives you; it's called **overconfidence.** Suddenly you feel like nothing can touch you; that was how he felt. With that done, everybody abandoned their game to come watch ours. This was something they never imagined; Terry was about beating Chubby to a Chess game? No, that cannot be. Being that his Queen was out, he became disoriented and confused. Now he had everything to lose, I on the other hand was jumping in my soul, but I kept a stealth posture. After taking out his Queen, his Knight's were next, then one if his Bishop's, and before he knew it.. My Queen was standing over his King; the way Semi played by Arsenio Hall stood over the Thief acted by Samuel Jackson in Coming to America. My joy knew no bound. My victory was loudly celebrated (I went on to defeating him with a 2-1 scoreline) for a week. Chubby was taunted for his defeat to the point that I started feeling sorry for him, but I knew better, so instead I got my self prepared ahead a rematch. The rematch did come, and this tie, it was between two evenly matched foes. It was a one off game; winer takes all the glory. At exactly 6 minutes 32 seconds after starting, my praise was loudly proclaimed; I was the new King in the Learners' Category. With this new found victory came the need to grow, but I am still growing cos' Chess is one game you never stop being good at, you only get better.

A Blind Mind.. According to Helen Keller, the greatest harm that could happen to Man is to have eyes and not use them. This in its entirety is an embodiment of truth. Times and times again, we've been made to understand that to excel in life, you don't necessarily need all your organs. People like Stevie Wonder and Cobhams Asuquo have brought this fact to light. The Nigerian Paralympics team helped us see why we need not castigate physically challenged people, cos the only limitation a man can have in life is being blind; in the mind. The mind which is the epicentre of any human is the table upon which decisions are made. It is the battleground where battles are either won or lost. It is also the point at which you choose to be successful or not. However, the level of exposure your mind has is based on what you feed it. The mind just like the stomach needs food to be effective. That food is education. When I say education, I don't mean just the 'A B C 1 2 3' typo education. As a matter of fact, formal education only helps us get prepared for what informal education has in stock for us. Formal education tells you that 1+1=2 but informal education asks you what 1 you add to another 1 to get 2. This in a great way is what puts the mind on the path unto analyzing situations, proferring solutions, and being effectual. Just like the Computer terminology GIGO (Garbage In Garbage Out), the mind is apt to give you a feedback of what you give it. So if you tell the mind that black is white and vice versa, it would tell you same when you ask for that detail. This brings us to see that not only should our mind be fed details that would help it function, but it should be fed details that would enable it function properly. One thing is certain; the mind is like a child. It is receptive, and doesn't know what is right and wrong at the reception. What you say to it is what it would accept. In other words, feed your mind with the right ideas and information that you may prosper in all that you do..

Based on One or Twos.. One thing that's common with love is the possibility of being in a one-sided relationship. You find someone who adores his lover, goes up to her, and after she says yes, she leaves him on his island of love sand he's left wondering if he made the right decision opening up to her. Another scenario which is more occurrent with girls is a situation whereby, a person in love cannot express his feelings. For guys, it's usually the fear of being rejected that sets them back. Babes don't make it easy on them cos they have so much standard for a relationship and you're bothered as to how to fill in. Girls on the other hand would never approach a guy with details about love; basically because they feel the guy should do the chasing while they do the running and eventual surrender. Sometimes tho I don't blame them, cos the ones who have come up to admit their interest in a guy do get taken for granted. They are scammed off their money, body, self esteem, and respect. However, this is not the case of the writer's subject. The writer's subject is in love with someone who's also in love with him, but they aren't dating. This is why. They used to be in a relationship; the two lovers, until he cheated on her because of the same distance she was able to withstand. She rightfully broke up with him and years later, they're still in love, but thanks to trust issues she's no longer considering a relationship with him. This is the issue with most people now. They are still in love with other people but **based on one or twos,** they have to be with someone else. This hereby puts their relationship or marriage at risk. They go about searching for the image of the one they love in the lives of every person they encounter, and on most occasions; they never see him. This brings us to a few conclusions; love is to cherished and adored. No gender has the responsibility to make a proposal. It is down to whosoever feels the prompt. Guys should stop taking advantage of ladies who finally decide to come out with their love story. People who are in love should consider being together, or completely get rid of the intentions their love has onto their lover. Love is like the letter "Y". To get formed, two people have to come together and find a root upon which they can stand. When they eventually leave, the shape they formed is now in chaos, and they go about searching for themselves.

The Feeling.. It's indescribable, The feeling I got The whole world vanished into darkness It couldn't stand your tenderness Your fierce tenderness Satisfaction somersaulted into joy It was like an engine clothed with oil Desires long dead resurrected Destinations covered with dust became crystal clear Forbidden thoughts gained acceptance While revoking every remembrance We were like marshals in the field Gaining and losing laurels at every inch Despite all this description It all boils down to one thing The feeling I get when I'm with you... **ITS INDESCRIBABLE**

To the Father I Would Be... First of all You are the best of all I know you never had the best example But you would be a worthy sample To be that man you ought to be Here are a few things you should see Women are the real fathers They wrap us around them like their wrappers Even when we hurt them like we would always do They look away like it was nothing So remember always that women are the real fathers And place them on top of your platter Not every man is a father A father is one who takes responsibilities over his family He's not the one who goes about screaming about masculinity Cos the real fathers are feminists You have an obligation to love your wife Your wife is to submit and you are lo love To treat her like your all Cos only then would she be like a dove Family comes before anything Not even beer with the guys is worth it You are the priest of your home So make it your dome!!!

Read Cash: Making a Difference. It was an awesome morning. I can't remember the day but a close friend sent me a screenshot on WhatsApp. A writer friend of hers had posted that anyone who writes should send a DM to him on how to cash out on his write-ups. To me, this was Heaven!!! I had always looked for an avenue to publicize my work so when this appeared I embraced it with full arms. It was beautiful to finally be able to earn through my write-ups. I rallied round all my contacts begging them to help like and post comments on my articles. This continued for a while until read.cash official address dropped the bombshell. Likes and comments were no longer gonna generate points? To place the cap on it, unless your article gets approved by a community you wouldn't earn. Being the Nigerian that I am, I said to myself "my village people don find me come read.cash." It didn't sound funny, until I sat down to examine the situation properly. Due to the general idea that people would like your article only if you liked theirs, I had to like so many articles. Some awesome, and some abominable. I wondered sometimes, is this a writer or what? On most occasions tenses were off, punctuations were lacking and the idea they tried to portray was blurry. Even on poems, there were very few that had stanzas, and being a critic that I am I usually got looked at the articles with disdain and got displeased by what I saw, but what to do.. However, now that new terms that only support bonafide writers are now on the fray, I look forward to read articles that would not only enlighten me, but motivate me to be better in my craft. **Terrence Olatunji a.k.a Hyrret.**

Do You Know? Thanks to the internet and Historians, so many things that would have been buried in the sands of time or not given a voice at all are now being aired. Here's a list of ten things I'm pretty sure you dint know or already forgotten; **Albert Einstein's Brain Was Stolen:** Based on the kinda lifestyle he led, Mr. Albert gave specific instructions about his body's disposal when he died. He wanted his body to be cremated so as to avoid his body being worshipped or his brain being studied. However, the pathologist on duty (Thomas Harvey) stole his brain and now the brain is still been preserved. **A single watermelon was once sold $6,125:** This might sound odd to you, but yeah, an almost black watermelon was sold for a whooping sum of $6,125 in the year 2008. The buyer was of the conviction that the watermelon was hard and crisp and had another level of sweetness than the ones we're used to eating.  **“Arachibutyrophobia” is the fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth:** This in its entirety is one funny reality. It's almost normal for people to have phobias for everything. However, this is one strange one which actually exists. **It's illegal to own just one Guinea Pig in Switzerland:** Over there, Guinea pigs are regarded as social animals who require the company of another guinea pig. For this reason it is illegal to have just one guinea pig cos you would be placing it in a difficult odd for survival. **Benin Kingdom had walls surrounding it:** Long ago in 1500, the westerners did make mention of the Benin Kingdom Wall with Portuguese Explorer Duarte Pacheco Pereira being the first. **The average Mammal takes 21 seconds to empty their bladder:** Unless you have an infection this should be the case with you. **An Ostrich's eye is bigger than it's brain:** This in all honesty is one funny fact which I found impossible to believe..but there it was, true and true. This may be why the ostrich**,** despite its tremendous running speed, is not very good at eluding predators; It tends to run in circles. **Lemon contains more sugar than strawberries:** I think my mother needs to see this. That a food is sweet doesn't mean its sugar content is high. The believe is that because lemon is bitter, it contains less or no sugar while strawberries that are really sweet contain more sugar. **The mostly used alphabet is the letter “E”**: There you have it. I used to think it was letter "A" but "E" it is. **The top 3 Most used language in the world are Mandarin Chinese, Spanish and English:** Where do we place French and Arabic then? Just saying.

Home... HOME!!! There is no place like home!! This phrase will never die Cos' truly There is no place like home!!! Home is where you find comfort There is never a need to feel pompous It is the place you feel your skin Cos every OFF is turned ON by your kin Home is the place for sweet Egusi Soup One good enough to sweep you off your feet It is the place you can ask for more Even when you can't afford more But Home is not always sunny Sometimes it gets scorchy Every iota of happiness fades away And feelings of anger places you in disarray Because Father always wants the boasting right Mother is always in control of the Night And it seems to them you are not yet ripe So you dare not stay out all night But isn't that what it means There is no place like Home The place where you get sweet lashes While being pampered like a tree's branch
