If you are looking for an exciting, mysterious and mystical adventure, the Gran Sabana in Venezuela is a destination that you must visit. With its three million hectares, it is home to a number of magical landscapes that range from rivers of calm and reddish waters, natural slides, small waterfalls to the imposing Angel Falls, the highest natural waterfall in the world at 979 meters high.
If you travel by road, it is advisable to do so in vehicles with 4-wheel drive, take enough fuel with you, since service stations are scarce and distant from each other; and finally, it is recommended to carry enough cash, since the remoteness of the place makes communication difficult.
Canaima National Park was named a Natural World Heritage Site in November 1994, so its preservation is of vital importance. The Pemón, an indigenous group living between Venezuela, Brazil and the Essequibo territory live there.

And as such an impressive place cannot go unnoticed, Canaima National Park served as the setting for the animated film Up: An Adventure to the High, made by Disney Pixar in 2009, it was also the place chosen by the film director Ericson Core, for the filming of a scene from the movie Point Break, released in December 2015.
