Meme is funny or insulting?
For my own opinion. Memes are the one who enlightens us for the certain status of our community or a country. Just like an activist. We've been fighting with sarcasm. It is the only way to provide counter in the yield of community that was held by those people who are maximalist, socialist, GREEDY, or sometimes what we call incompetent leaders. Here in my own Country. Memes are the weapons **TO PROVOKE THOSE INCOMPETENT LEADERS**. We just have shown the real meaning with manipulated funny moments. But in the real check, we wanted to realize by the person. OR that person who lacks excitement to help the country. *Disclaimer this is only my opinion.*

I had fun making meme although im not good in editing.. I think it's good sometimes to had contest like that here. .but read.cash had rules to follow..let's see what happen next..
But I see there is a hardy instance of picking a decision. for my own opinion only. our heads here can't sustain one decision to ban that user who has popularity or it is easy to ban a simple user.
I consider that memes represent a way to give a message in a creative way, about opinions, about some issue that afflicts a certain sector or person, what you have to see here is if it is attentive to that person's morale ,? , I suggest you read the community rules, can you edit your article, and tell me what values does a meme that insults give me?
Everything has a different meaning and angles. And all things have pros and cons. Then memes can be good and bad depends on how people derive it.
Memes are like caricature. I think memes are supposed to be humorous.
I agree π―
Most were not humourous at all that's the main point here and the sad part. Perhaps it is a good idea all those who don't see what went wrong here leave with the "fuck you all" person to a different platform.
I agree because of the memes yesterday I saw a lot of people, terms and words that are related to BCH.
You agree with sarcasm in a meme but not if people are using sarcasm in their language? If they do so your country feels insulted and all say we have to watch our words. Why not watching your words if you make a meme? I saw a few not all but what I missed was the funny part. The funny part of what Mr. Bean shows for example. I miss the adult part too, especially after this storm infected all of us. The scoldings, responses, addressed at read.cash for example. It's fine to fight for your right, it's fine to have a good laugh about your own misery but here happened way more and I am sorry to say this but it's not the first time "your country" drags this platform down and shows it's ungratefulness about an option given to improve your life. We, in "my country" have an expression: A dog doesn't bite the hand who feeds it". It's what you did with these funny memes. You bit the one who feeds you and you even laugh at it. I wonder why but I admit I am not a fan of memes. What I find most pitiful is those I saw as good people, good writers showed who they really are. They let go of their fake smiles. It only makes me sad, sad because they don't see which name they gave themselves, which picture they painted of them to the world outside and how they made this platform look to the outside world. π
Honestly. Respected writers who would have been earning reasonably well on this platform stooped SO LOW for money.
Apparently, it's not good enoughenough. π
Personally I think memes could be funny or insulting based on its purpose. As an art advocate myself, I find some memes as insulting pertaining to those that are using pieces of art as their medium to gain laugh reacts on social media. Artworks have deep message meant to be conveyed to the people. Using them as a laughing stuff (memes) insults me because art is being degraded. They tend to disconnect people from the real message of the artworks. Seeing ugly caricatures at it, they already find it funny whereas that icon represents something. If memes are like that, there could be no people appreciating the real essence of an artwork.
Basically, memes are just for temporary people but contemporary arts are really good thou. Sometimes we should accept that the old culture of arts will vanish due to the expansion of Digital and Technology arts. Since the generation z (next of millennia) are aware from the technology. This will be the end of classical paitings and other arts we have.
Meme is just a way of express you thoughts. You can also ask instead: words funny or insulting?
Basically. It depends on how you derive the meme. And yet people don't have all sense of humor and in the end, it results as an insulting.
