Was everything just a lie? The founder and CEO of Curve, Michael Egorov, currently controls 71% of the voting power of the decentralized exchange’s governance, after what seemed to be an attempt to counteract the 50%+ voting power of the yEarn protocol. He stated that 'he may over-reacted', but it is surprising that people are getting control of an decentralized exchange so easy. In the end, who got the money got the power right? Given enough funds, even Bitcoin can be overtaken. Keep that in mind. May be hard for an individual, but not for a country government. It is just not happenning yet because it is not needed.
Decentralized exchange Uniswap has overtaken Tether’s USDT stablecoin as the largest gas spender on the Etheruem network as the decentralized finance space’s popularity keeps growing. This is definitely good news, as Tether dodgy maneuvers were exposed in U.S., and it is more and more underlined that the people behind Tether and the ones behind Bitfinex may be the same ones. How long can you hide behind Bahamas registration law? Talking about this, Bahamas got their currency, the Sand Dollar, ready, and it was included in the central bank balance sheets. (At the moment it is evaluated at 48.000 USD).
OMG is still increasing, i would say that BTC and ETH are close to break the upper level, ATOM just broke the $7.249 resistance today, NEO is close to test $19.82219 and CRO is consolidating.
Once ETH 2.0 is launching and the consensus will move towards PoS, all the ASIC miners will have little choice with other currencies, as Ethereum mining is highly specialized, unlike the Bitcoin one, where there are more than 16 profitable coins to mine.
On DEFI coins, specialized Scam coins started to appear now, with sophisticate techniques, but often applying just the ''pull the rug'', after creating a token (by the way, do you know you can create a defi token in 5 minutes?), creating a Telegram group, airdropping some tokens, creating hype and putting them on Uniswap. Up to this step, is what any legit coin is doing, but once the pool is increasing up to few millions or tens of millions, they just sell all their tokens, and you are left with nothing but thin air. So, as you know, always do your own research. Or invest in already established coins. My pesonal opinion, stay away of new DEFI projects if you do not know how this is working.
And yes, everybody knows this already, Bitcoin has been seen in an ad on the front page of one of the main Hong Kong newspaper.
