Under the canopy of God

When we are under the canopy of God, we will not be overcome by our enemies, for he is at war with evil. He will cover us and give us security. It's a bold statement to make, but I believe it is one that must be made. At times, it's hard to believe that God really is relentless in his pursuit to help us.

We will look up; our eyes will turn to the Lord. Our help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. Nothing can happen without God's permission. Before a word is on my tongue, you know it completely, Lord.

God gave his only Son so that we may live forever through him. It's because of this that we are able to have the audacity to say under the canopy of God, we will never be overcome by evil again. He will always fight relentlessly against it and even when we do fall short or mess up, he will forever pick us back up again.

No one can take God's protection away from us. Because we belong to God and through our spiritual union with Him, He provides a special place for us where nothing can harm us. Satan is a defeated enemy and we are victorious children of God.

We need to trust God and make ourselves available to His Spirit. It is important that we seek God's face. Our joy and peace depend on it. If we don't seek God, the temptations of the world will destroy us and keep us from seeing what God wants us to see.

If you want to go forward with God, you need to be humble and come with a contrite spirit. Do not come before His presence with sin on your heart or with a hardened spirit. It is also physically impossible that you can be filled when your spirit is bitter or while you have a hard heart. You won't see anything or feel anything if your heart is hard or if you are under the weight of bitterness.

God never fails. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think, according to the power that works within us, but we will be careful to follow His guidelines and commandments.

The nation of Israel was taken away from their homeland and were carried away into captivity. But they were not given the glory nor what they deserved as a nation because they turned their backs on God.

God told them that he will turn their captivity and that he will gather them from the four corners of the earth when they go there and pray. God is faithful he will be there for you, that's why you need to keep your faith in him because he is the one who can do more for you than we can even imagine. No matter how bad it may seem in your life, keep your faith in Him and He will always hear you and help you through it.

I have learnt from my personal testimony that if we remain under the canopy of God and he has made provision for our present and future, then the enemy has to retreat.

Communities have problems, we don't have it all worked out but we should be under the canopy of God, and when that happens we are secure and we do not have to go here and there looking for happiness because the joy of the Lord is our strength.

Implementing the word of God is the best way for us to really make a difference. It is through His word that He will give us the tools to achieve what we want to achieve and make a difference. God's word is a guide for our lives, that's how we need to see it.
