A get-together party

This weekend, myself and some of my high school mates had a little get together.

Most of us haven't met in person for one year, and we all decided that there should be a mini get together. As the senior prefect, I sent out messages via our social media groups asking who is available for the get-together .

We were about 50 in class, we just decided to get together and reconnect. Though only few people showed up, but We weren't annoyed at those who were not able to make it. We didn't take it personal, because it was impromptu.

We had a blast. We decided to meet up at 4 in the afternoon to have a nice long chit chat session over some drinks and snacks. We danced, played music and had a lot of fun. We had a great time.

Back then, we used to hang out every day but we all have busy lives now; school and work and kids so we haven't been able to get together much, but this past weekend we got together. I think it's good because the days are long, they seem long. And when you see friends who are going through the same thing, it's nice. It makes you feel like you're not alone, that the other people understand what you're going through, even if they don't.

The best thing about this get together was reuniting with my classmates, and actually seeing them after a year or so. I mean at first I was like why would we be getting together, but I guess it's to reconnect. The more we are together, the happier we shall be.

It was really nice, it was fun because some of us left the country already, some of us didn't even know what to expect but it was fun. Just seeing each other in general, just talking to each other because I mean, we're all going through the same thing together so it was good to see each other.

Though for some, it wasn't as much bonding as it was reminiscing on the past. But you know what, when you look back and think about everything that has happened since then, it makes for a great conversation. We talked about our Various institutions or work and even where everyone is living now.

Though Only a few people showed up, but it was still fun meeting everyone, catching up with people and taking pictures, which seems to me as the most important.

There is no doubt that we are going to rise higher than ever before, as friends, we grow stronger as we all learn from each other.
