In the Village of Sikakrom("money town") of an animal kingdom lived three close friends sheep ,goat and cat sheep was the oldest followed by goat. They spent their lives as Brothers playing together farming together and share their wealth fairly among themselves.All animals at that time live together with human beings.
Sheep was so exceptionally introvert that people took his humility to be foolishness yet he was I may say the most recent of the three friends. He was simple modest and very honest. he spoke little acted little and always avoided where danger was prone. His humility was visibly drawn on his introvert personality. This give him the name of "Osofo", meaning Pastor in our local dielect, yet he was unfortunately too timid to advise his friends anytime they messed up. Though he had all the unfettered access to do that more especially to call to order his close friend ,goat, who more often than not took delight in misconducting himself.
In contrast to sheep's humble nature was the restless character of goat who was always looking for trouble anywhere he's found. He was a first-class talkative always bombarding people with his first philosophy that the happiest person was the one who could consume trouble and get out of it. cat being aware of goats mischievous nature tried to avoid him anytime goat was in one of his emotional outburst.
In one Sunday afternoon the three friends we're at their usual spot run by Dog. The three friends were enjoying some cool Palm wine. Sheep always preferred the sweet type but goat and cat took in the strong palm wine. Goat getting tipsy, started his mischief, jumped up hopping here and there and being unmindful of the pots of wine that had been displayed at one corner of the spot. Goat jump high into the sky but unfortunately landed on two of the pots smashing them instantly with their forming contents spring on the floor. Dog came out and held goat's throat demanding instant cash for the damage cost. Cat was the most well-to-do among the friends so he pulled out money and settle the cost to avoid further embarrassment. But goat was warned that the next time he will pay for the consequences of his own actions. Sheep stood there speechless and was prompted by cat to advise his cousin because whatever happened to goat could affect him also.
So it happened that the friendship grew from strength to strength. Still goat could not stop his bad habits. One morning goat dressed and went out without letting his friends know where he was going to. Goat was going to the market. It was around that time that the chief " Nana Kukrudu'' walked out from his palace majestically to greet his subjects.
Nana arrived at the marketplace Tempe going to greet the energy that's who responded with a loving loyalty by standing and bowing their heads. By Jove! Goat from nowhere entangled Nana's steps causing his majesty to fall with a clash. What are abomination! what a taboo for a chief to fall. Rituals must be performed for Nana to get up.(this is Africa for you). The elders attention was drawn,and they rushed to the spot. "We need sheep's blood for sacrifice". Said the chief linguist. Because of such carelessness see where Goat landed his friend 😢😢😢😢😢.
