Tanjiro Kamado is the main protagonist of Kimetsu no Yaiba: Demon Slayer. He joined the Demon Slayer Corps for the purpose of hunting down the murderer of his family. He is also on a journey to transform his sister back to human.
He wears a distinct hanafuda earrings, which I believe was passed down to him. He has a scar on his forehead which eventually grew and developed as his Demon Slayer Mark. He went on a rigorous training under Sakonji Urokodaki for a few years before engaging on the Final Selection stage of becoming a Demon Slayer.
After successfully becoming a Demon Slayer, he then wears the standard uniform, a dark-brown gakuran jacket, white belt, baggy pants, a pair of zōri with red straps, and bands of white cloth wrapped tightly around his calves, all beneath his signature checkered haori. He also carries his sister inside a wooden box on his back, where she can sleep and be safe on travels during the day.
Tanjiro is kind by nature, even to Demons. He has a very strong sense of smell which he uses to fight. He can smell emotions and track demons and humans. He learned swordsmanship and the Water Breathing technique, which increases the oxygen in one's blood by controlling his breathing pattern.
