Icon Living

It's a great day to be alive again and it's also a wonderful day to write about something important here on readcash. This is one particular interesting part about writing, there's no shortage of things to write about, as things are constantly happening everyday.

Today I will be writing about Icons particularly one's that are living and are dear to me. But before diving into this topic, I think it's only logical to give a small definition of what an icon is. An icon I believe is more like a symbol representing something, this symbol is usually showing something in it's best light. Symbols could be virtually anything from animate to inanimate things.

Now that we understand what we mean by an icon, I think it's also ok to believe we can now deduce what an icon living is. I first heard of this term from Jaden Smith song and that particular line has stuck. Who's an Icon living?

I'm not entirely sure this is even a thing, but since I'm identifying with it, I'll be talking about it based on my own opinion. I think an Icon living could be like a person or figure that we can identify with as having achieved success in a particular field, in other words you can say he's like a model or a basis that you can use to make comparison for other related figures.

We all have different icons we look up to in various fields of life, like in basketball I like Steph Curry, talk about music and I'd mention Wizkid, talk about religion and I'd mention Mufti Menk, talk about kindness and I'd mention my mum. Our icons can definitely vary because we also choose them on different basis, some for their success stories, some just for ever the sheer will and hardwork they put into their craft.

The kind of icons you also look up to says a lot about the things you're interested in. If Wizkid is my musical icon i probably love afrobeats a lot. If i ever mentioned Ben Carson the first thing you would think of was something medical related, why? Because they've all made their marks in those fields and you can easily say they've achieved a lot against all odds.

Remember it's your opinion, so it doesn't necessarily have to be someone even famous. It could be someone who has impacted your life in a certain way, or someone you identify with because of certain things in their life.

I think it's nice to have people we can always see as a symbol to guide us on our own journey, it helps. Who's ur Icon Living? and in what field of life does the person exist?
