Why Women Of Southeast Asia Are Remaining Behind?
Reading the title you can understand my topic. Yes, my dear. Today I am going to talk about girls empowerment in Southeast Asia or if I can say more precisely that I want to talk about the subcontinent. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are the four countries which are highly known in the world for politics, economic and culture & tradition. Too many people live here. Our history & culture are old enough. But we have dark sides too. Many things are here which leads us to a history which people prefer to hide. One of them is women empowerment. Yes, my topic for today.
Now if I want to start a discussion on this matter, I need to find out some important questions. Have a look.
What are the main reasons for their less activities in society?
Are the girls having proper education?
Why they don't want to stand for their rights?
These 3 questions are very important while discussing the matter. If we find out the answers, we will and we can solve the riddle of woman enpowerment.
Less Activity
In different socio cultural programmes, women remain behind the doors. They fear to take part in those activities. The main reason of it that the elders of the families don't like their women taking parts in those activities. This extra protests drag them in the darkness while the male are allowed to do anything. They think that females are allowed to do only households works. This mentality breaks heart and they feel demotivated. They refuse to take part in it. Their less activities are ignored by the families.
Lack Of Education
This is another serious threat for woman development. Most of countries are facing this problem. But the female illiteracy rate in Southeast region is so high. Sorry to say but female education is not so welcomed here. I know the change has already began but still there are lackings. A fear to lose their girls, families discourage to get them educated. The reason for this fear is known to all. Girls have protection issues from so called human hyenas. They tease them while going to school, try to molest them. Rape news is very common nowadays. Tell me, in the middle of this situation which family will allow their girls to get outside of home. We need to recheck this issue as much sooner as possible.
Remaining Silent
Woman doesn’t raise voice and this problemis their very own. They refuse to take steps for every wrong things against them. They prefer adjusting. This types of mentality dragging them behind. They will never come out of this situation untill awareness is spread. But who will lead?
What Should We Do?
We can't let our woman die like this. Put your shyness aside and learn to fight with this ignorance. You can make a move. Beside this, the society may show some courageto bring out the darkness from their hearts. Woman has equal rights to read, write and decide her own life. In this subcontinent where more people are working for the development for the countries, why do we still have words for gender discrimination? Why don't we work together? Make a way for the woman and see how smoothly they work.
A Warning!
We should aware more people for woman empowerment. But here is a thing. We should aware about woman developments not to use them as products. I am highly against woman productification. We are here to work not to be used as model. We are done with it. We need respect not sympathy. We, the women know our value. So, stop using us as a product.
In this subcontinent, more possibilities for women. We are eager to work with man. We are not competitors. We are your sisters. Act like that. This is my humble request. We care for humanity and we have self respects too. If we handle a family well, we can definitely serve better for the nation.

Thanks dear.
Yours, Harlin
Here in the UK we hear about the abuse and lack of opportunities for women in the sub continent all the time. In this day and age it is terrible. I don't know the problem, but hope it gets solved soon, and women are free to do as they wish!
