You are about to go into a venture or try out what has never been done before. You decided to go to friends to seek advice but rather than feel charged up after meeting them, you get back home sad with an heart filled with doubt.
Or have you started already and it seems it's only destined for one thing -"Failure". Why feel this way?. Because people you look up to, look down on you?. People you look on to for motivation, makes you unmotivated?. Now, you've come to the conclusion that the best thing to do is to Quit. Nah, that shouldn't be the next thing.
Let me take you through the stories of few people who got discouraged when they started, but never let the noise from the people get to them. They turned deaf ear to the murmurs, to the laughter, the sarcastic jabs thrown at them and Today are celebrated
Albert Einstein :
Who else can I start with than the Father of physics himself?. Albert Einstein didn't start speaking until age 4. In school he was called names because he seems different from others and ask questions that are not expected of him to ask.
Einstein graduated from Swiss Polytechnic Institute at the age of 21, to get a job was really hard for him coupled with his reputation when he was still a student, his chances of getting a good job was slim. Do you know that due to poor performance Albert Einstein had to drop out of school?. But never gave up on his dream of going to school.
Later he got a job in a field he loves. This gave him the chance the chance to solve maths which is what he loves. The rest is history.
2. Micheal Jordan:
When You hear the name Micheal what comes to mind?. He is arguably the greatest basketball player ever. He didn't become what he is all of a sudden or without any obstacles.
Growing up he dreamed of becoming a basketball player, but he was rejected by coaches because of his height. Even after getting into a basketball camp and performing wonderfully well, he wasn't selected when it was time for player selection. He felt sad but never gave up. The rest is history today
3.Maria curie
Maria family on both sides lost every thing they had due to their patriotic stance during the polish national fight for independence. The made life hard for Maria and her siblings.
It was hard for her to go to the university, her father had little money. Going to school for the girl child in Poland was hard back then.
To overcome this challenge Marie started working as a tutor. She worked hard to support herself and siblings but still took out time to attend evening classes. She studied chemistry, physics and mathematics and paid.
The story of how she went on to win the Nobel prize is celebrated by many today.
4. Thomas Edison
If Thomas came late-let's say to this present Generation. I'm sure he would have been given diverse names. "Minister of failure" or "The joker" would have been at the top of the list. That's not to say he wasn't shamed and mocked back then too. He failed countless time in his attempt to create a functional light build.
He later succeeded and today his work speaks on even after his death. I'm sure when you look at the build attached to the ceiling, you feel glad that it's there. That's the work of a man who didn't give up on his dreams. He says " I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." Tell me a man with more resilience than him.
5.Serena Williams
Serena Williams is an American professional tennis player and former world No. 1 in women's single tennis. She has won 23 Grand Slam singles titles, the most by any player in the Open Era.
Things haven't been so easy for her. She had her own challenges too. She encountered so many breakdowns between matches and was heavily criticised at some point. Some of the problems she faced include:
Grand Slam Pressure. 5 of 5
Mental Fatigue. 4 of 5.
Physical Fatigue. 3 of 5.
Rising Stars. 2 of 5.
Elbow Injury. 1 of 5.
I can go on and on with names and stories of so many celebrated people who weren't that Great or accepted when they started.
Are you also facing some challenges or criticism in what you are doing now?. Why don't you draw inspiration from Thomas and others. I have seen so many Great initiatives here on readcash. Some are widely celebrated by all. I'm sure when it started, the initiators received their own fair share of Criticism. But liik where they are today.
What are you waiting for?. Rise up and get to work now!
Till next time guys.🤗🤗🤗
