There are different aspects one can suffer injury such as emotional injury, physical injury,... My focus today will be on emotional healing
Steps to getting heal from emotional pain
Accept the reality : Be real with your self and accept the reality of the situation. Be at peace with the reality and don't bring your self to the thought of wishing it never happened. It has happened so deal with it. Don't be too hard on yourself
Cry it out : Crying does a great deal in releasing excessive emotions. Don't restrain yourself from crying let it out.
Forgive : Don't hold on to resentment, forgive who ever has hurt you. forgive yourself too for letting yourself to be hurt because most often people keeps blaming themselves for any misfortune.
Let go : This is like the most difficult part of emotional healing but then very important. Ask your self if it worth holding on, if your answer is no then it's time to let go. Let go of that thing that only brings you pain.
Be patient : Never expect automatic change. Be patient with yourself if the change don't happen as you have expected
Do things that makes you happy: It's very important at this stage to develop new fun habits like visiting that friend that both you can laugh and chat about nothing all day lol. Reading interesting books, learning new skill, apply for an online program learn new things.
Get yourself involved in productive activities and in no time, you will become even stronger and ofcourse wiser again !!
