Our Prophet(PBUH) once said,

"Live in a world as if you were a stranger or traveller".

The present world is not our final abode. Our final habitat is the world hereafter. You need to constantly bear this reality in mind. You need to keep thinking about it.

Have you made gaining wealth, position and fame in this world as your goal?

Are you angry or upset over someone's bad behaviour with you and want immediate revenge?

Where do you spend maximam time and energy?

What occupies your mind when you are alone?

Answer to this questions will make you realize whether your goal is this world or the world hereafter because raising our level of tought proccess will help in understanding purpose of our lives.

Every action we do in this world is recorded by the God and one should be careful about it..
