Reasons to Watch Less Television
“I don't watch much TV.” If you are someone who says, I want him to calculate a week like this. I am sure that this number will go up with the news and the series that follow. Pretty surprising isn't it? Are you ready to learn the reasons why you should stop watching TV?
Don't be surprised by the numbers, but you may spend an average of 30 hours a week in front of the TV. In addition, if you include the videos you watch on your phone or computer, the size of the job is much different. So what should you do? If you want to be productive, you have to keep distance.
You don't care about anything else while watching TV. Even if you watch TV with family members, nothing changes. Your mind and focus are there. The problem is, I can say exactly this: While watching TV, you are mortgaging a certain part of your time.
Let's do a simple calculation. If you prefer to watch TV between 19:00 and 23:00, that means you mortgage 4 hours a day. 8 hours of sleep and 4 hours of television is a total of 12 hours. Sleep is a basic need. But you can consider the remaining 4 hours as a waste.
Loss of social interaction
For every hour you spend in front of the TV, you give up a part of your life. You cannot use these hours well. Moreover, during these hours, you will be as far away from social interaction as possible. You throw away something much more happy and enjoyable, like socializing.
You can have social interaction by spending time with your family, hanging out with your friends or doing something different that you enjoy. Connecting with people is something we all need. This need cannot be met by television.
You may be watching television programs that are very important in terms of information. But in every television show, a lot of things are built on negativity. Your chances of getting positive messages from programs, TV shows or movies are low.
Of course there are exceptions. But if you choose to spend the time you need to spend with your family watching the news, you need to know what you're giving up and getting. You may encounter tons of negative, bad, frustrating and pessimistic things. You should consider whether you deserve it.
News, television shows, serials and movies each have a subtext. Each one is based on something and that thing is usually a problem in life. Intervention of the viewer's thoughts is the basic criterion in order to maintain an emotional bond.
As Craig Dewe puts it, we actually laugh at “stupid, overweight and socially different people” in TV shows and movies. In stories filled with pain, suffering and death, we are drawn into a great drama. All of these are powerful factors that can affect our entire outlook on life.
Nowadays television is very harmful to all people it's destroying our nation with negative thoughts and impacts.
