Is there anybody who wrote their New Year's Resolution already? Like you are very enthusiastic about it and makes you so excited to do it, everyday or the days you schedule to do it? How was it?

Me and my friends are making fun of our New Year's Resolution in our chatroom. Some shared that she is now doing her New year plans. She had listed all her goal and everyday she is doing that. She has been doing it for 2 weeks now. We are so proud of her. She even gave her a screenshot. What makes us laugh was, the title of her goal. The little is New Year Resolution 2012. I though it was just a Typo error, but she said she is sure that she write it correctly. She is now doing her resolution that she planned to do in 2012. We laughed harder.

Anyway, that is true. We had written lots of resolutions and goals in our past life but most of it failed to happen because of so many reason. It happens to me to, that is why sometimes, I really don't want to write anything as a goal. If I write it, it will definitely not happening, yet on that part, it is my digression why it is not happening. It is entirely my fault for not starting or even try to be consistent about it.

What do you think is happening between planning and executing your New Year's Resolution?

Anyone can answer this one. You know the truth your attitude towards your goal. Added to this are the things that stopping you, like the things that are out of your control.

Like me, I have a new year's resolution and that included dieting and exercise. We all have goals about our bodies eversince we became aware about goals and resolutions. I have been writing that goals for quite a long time. I had wasted lots of pen inks and pages of notebook writing that specifically that I know will all put into waste when I will not be starting or being consistent about it.

These are the following reason why it is not happening.

You need to have a deeper reason

A friend of mine found out that she has Diabetes, type 2. It is not a good news but instead of feeling bad, what she did was to change her lifestyle. When she was healthy before, dieting and exercising were always part of her new year goals. She never able to be consistent doing it. She will start it and then forget about it.

Having diabetes helped her to make her goals happen. She is doing it, but still imperfectly. What matters is that she follow her schedule and there will be some serious reason while she will be absent in doing it once in a while. As for my friend, she has her deeper reason for executing her goals and that is to maintain healthy diet and lifestyle. Doing her goals will help her save her life and to avoid some complications. According to her, that is her best options.

What will you get for doing that goals? What help it brings to you? What difference does it make?

If your goal is to loss weight, what you will be getting when you lose weight? There are lots actually. Losing weight, will give you lighter feeling. You can move freely when you feel lighter. You can fit to lots of clothes. You can use your old clothes and reinvent it once it fits you.

Besides a deeper reason, you need to get benefits from doing it. You should write benefits one by one so that you will remember it whenever you are doing your are executing your goal.

Consistency is the Key

It is one of the good qualities of a person if you are consistent. This is the hardest task in getting your gaol beside being motivated. If you start executing your goal, you do it as you schedule it. You need to be true to yourself. Deeper reason will help you to be consistent because you will always remember the lists of reason and benefits you will get for making your goal happens.

Get a Motivation and Inspiration

This is one will truly help you in your goals. If your goal is to lose weight, find people that already lose weight by being true with their goals. Collect videos of people, their techniques, the foods they eat and their exercise tips. Track down your activities and weekly results. If your results seems not good, don't be demotivated. Consistency is the key. Stopping it made lead you to feel demotivated and you will not able to make it happen. If you would gather your motivation, you will start from zero.

Allow yourself to change, change your habit, the Habit of Stopping

Everyone of us has habits. It is he same as your lifestyle. The habit of stopping is simple stopping what you started. In making goals, it is advisable to have it for short time as a starter. Let's say you start with doing your goal with consistency for a month. If you do it for a month, you can start another habit for 40 days and so on. If you do not do the habit of stopping, then you develop new habit for yourself, then it is a habit of trying. You must be laughing at these statements but it holds true. It really creates something new with your habits and attitude toward change. It is the trying that gives you results that you will feel good and keep doing it until you finally get what you wanted.

Final say..

Making your New Year's Resolution is hard. It is always hard to start and end it. It requires a big change and determination. Just always remember the benefits you will be getting from it and always strive to be a better you in any goals you would love to achieve.
