I worked out earlier today that I know, to varying degrees, at least seven languages (or parts thereof). In order of fluency: 1. English (mother tongue) 2. Afrikaans (understand most of it if spoken to, can read and write it, can't speak it.) 3. Spanish (not as well as I used to, mostly reading it) 4. French (a few sentences) 5. German (a few sentences) 6. isiZulu (a few sentences and phrases; auditory/verbal only) 7. Japanese (mostly phrases; auditory/verbal only)
