My landlords have just asked me to let them know how much money I'll have at the end of the month and if I'll be able to pay my rent. It's not even half-way through the month; how am I supposed to know how much I'll have brought in by then (including if I'll be able to move and exchange the ETH and ERC-20s I earn from Pub0x without paying high gas fees). Bloody hell, a little premature/over-eager, what?! It looks like I might have to redouble my efforts and work through a few nights in order to feed the insatiable beast. Oh, the joys ...

"Schiesse; I cannot get sie farkin' trees! I will kill everyone in the world!" — Adolf Hitler (a mass-murdering Nazi shithead and vegetarian painter) on failing to create a painting of trees, acording to Eddie Izzard Translated to German, that becomes the following: "Scheisse; Ich kann die verdammten Bäume nicht bekommen! Ich werde jeden auf der Welt töten!" https://www.publish0x.com/hunting-of-the-snark/ich-kann-die-verdammten-baume-nicht-bekommen-xpzwyyd?a=oQeZVJGJep&tid=Noise&t=Noise
Remember, folks: Only lock up and confine women whom explicitly consent beforehand! Otherwise, bad things will happen to you (like getting hit with a sledgehammer by an undercover police officer)! That's the moral of the story that I get from the film Banshee.
There are few things in life as sexy (if admittedly a bit weird) as a woman with more than two boobs. Forget the three-breasted prostitute from Total Recall; AI quite often gives me deepfakes with extra breasts, arms, hands, heads, legs, feet or torsos (sometimes all at once). It also gives new meaning to calling someone a "dickhead". Move over, Sharktopus! I don't mind a little extra lady flesh, most of the time, but some of it just shall not pass.
I have now made my rants about Deviant Art (and struggling to find the right marketplace to sell my art) into a number of posts, which seem to be moderately popular. https://www.publish0x.com/hunting-of-the-snark/just-how-pathetically-pious-if-not-intolerant-and-totalitari-xjrnqqk?a=oQeZVJGJep&tid=Noise&t=Noise https://www.publish0x.com/cryptographic-viking/there-are-some-things-that-money-just-cant-buy-for-everythin-xqexyje?a=oQeZVJGJep&tid=Noise&t=Noise Happy Fishnet Friday, Folks! Enjoy the deepfakes (which as exist as uncensored versions without watermarks and which I intend to sell)!

A friend of mine sends me motivational quotes almost every day, to keep me inspired and positive until my situation is better (and also to remind me that there are still people whom care about me). One of the more recent ones stated this: "There are some things in life that money just can't buy, like integrity, manners, morals and the love of certain beautiful dark-haired women in short skirts, long jackets and tall boots." OK, wait a minute, maybe not the last one, then ... I guess I'm fortunate that I've never had to, for reasons that I still find largely unfathomable.
Since Deviant Art no longer caters to deviants, Vixxi is sadly no more, I'm having trouble selling NFTs on OpenSea and SolSea, my Weasyl account probably still hasn't been activated despite creating it about a month ago and I can't remember the name of the other Website at which I looked (which might be defunct, anyway, even though it's Web3 IIRC)... I wonder if it's time to go back to trying to promote my artwork on Patreon in the hope people subscribe. That might be worth a shot, since the other options which I've tried seem to be a dead end ... Perhaps I should just put stuff on DeviantArt with links on where to get the explicit stuff and wait for it to be removed and my account banned. Other people seem to do that. https://www.patreon.com/greatwhitesnark https://www.publish0x.com/hunting-of-the-snark/perhaps-i-should-again-attempt-the-web-20-method-of-selling-xyenwnn?a=oQeZVJGJep&tid=Noise&t=Noise Any takers? Knowing how things have gone before, I suspect not. There's *got* to be a way to move this stuff; I just haven't found it yet.

Eating of sloths and fruit bats is one thing, but eating of sloths and fruit bats whilst in bed is where I draw the line, on crackers or not. I think that's fair enough, since eating meat in bed is probably not a good idea, particularly if you spill some on your sheets or other bedding. https://www.publish0x.com/hunting-of-the-snark/eating-of-the-sloths-and-orangutangs-and-fruit-bats-xzgorvk?a=oQeZVJGJep&tid=Noise&t=Noise
I'm not sure whom sent me some BCH today (I didn't look at the transaction) and if it was someone from here on Noise or elsewhere. Whomever that person is, thank you; I appreciate receiving a little unexpected crypto. External validation for my efforts to both entertain and inform are always a plus.
Why is there always at least one small dog or cat in the "Click on something you can eat" CAPTCHAs? Am I supposed to click/select it, because technically I could ... It is a concern I have, given that I work with dogs on weekends. Part of that includes ensuring that the small ones don't escape and run into kennels where they'll get chomped by bigger ones when it's feeding time. As for the resident cat (the bane of the manager's life, for which I appreciate it), it thinks it's invincible since it can climb the fence or a shelf and get onto the roof and has yet to come short.
Does LOST (the series) still suck? Someone told me that it sucks, so I never watched it. It's got Evangeline Lily and other eye candy, a few guys from Hawaii 5.0 and a Hobbit in it, so how bad can it be, really?
With Apple products, "refurbished" means they cleaned all the drool, jizz, pr0n and vegan food off it when the novelty wore off and someone returned it out of Buyer's Remorse, possibly having discovered that GNU/Linux is free. I think those are the people whom brag about using Arch ...
Today in "You Could Make a Religion out of that": Cryptocurrency Good morning, Sir. Do you have a moment to talk about our Lord and Saviour, Satoshi Nakamoto? LoL! Maybe we should do that, seeing as Nakamoto is a semi-legengary/mythic persona with mysterious aspects. Besides, some maximalists can get quite zealous. Welcome to the Church of Crypto. It has a certain ring to it, doesn't it?
"You see, I think drugs have done some good things for us. I really do." Despite the fact that I strictly avoid taking drugs of any kind (prescription or otherwise) if I can help it, I am inclined to agree with Bill Hicks on that, at least today. That's because they have indirectly helped me to earn some Nano (XNO). https://www.publish0x.com/cryptographic-viking/i-think-drugs-have-done-some-good-things-for-us-i-really-do-xyenqww?a=oQeZVJGJep&tid=Noise&t=Noise
Life is exhausting. It's just one long hustle to get who knows where, exactly? Then it all goes to shit and you wonder why you (and the generations that came before you) bothered. In unrelated news, my coffee cup smells like fish (although my coffee tastes fine)! This is not an optimal start to the week. Maybe today I'll find a job and make a big dent in clearing my email inbox. Who knows?
I ate too much fish today, but I needed to finish the pilchards before they went bad. I'm likely going to be burping fish all night. It seems that the dog is not the only one with bad fish breath ... Ah, the fun I have!
Now that I have published my daily post on Pub0x, I can't decide if I want to spend the rest of my day tackling job-hunting and clearing my inbox or focus on learning skills that will help me find and secure employment. Maybe I will be able to do both, but I have to pick one and stick with it. Argh, this indecision is wasting time that is in short supply! Idly surfing the Internet sure isn't helping. What to do, what to do? https://www.publish0x.com/hunting-of-the-snark/the-ongoing-struggle-to-earn-a-sufficient-income-by-fair-and-xozvzqq?a=oQeZVJGJep&tid=Noise&t=Noise

In today's post, I look at Wanchain, Blockchain/Web3 domain names and how to get one with Wanchain, Moonriver and Fusion Domains: https://www.publish0x.com/cryptographic-viking/what-is-wanchain-what-are-blockchainweb3-domains-and-how-do-xzgowkg
"How do you feel about helping stave off starvation for/in at least one individual in a country with a religiously oppressive government, no means of income and no access to outside aid?" That is the question I asked my sponsor a few days ago. Thus began a lot of correspondence back and forth to determine how much crypto to send to my Iranian contact (whom only accepts XNO), which I would need to exchange from BCH (since the ATM my sponsor uses can't send XNO). According to my contact, there was some sort of international fund set up, but the Iranian government blocked or confiscated the fiat (I'm, not sure which), leaving citizens to fend for themselves. He has also been unable to set up a crypto-based fundraiser, due to the difficulty of accessing the Web from within Iran. The three of us managed to establish this much: The amount he requires is at least that which is sufficient to buy food for at least one person for one month. (Whether he has dependents other than his dog, I don't know.) The guy is literally starving to death and his teeth are falling out due to malnutrition (scurvy or something related). If you would like to help by making a donation (either BCH or XNO), please see the links below: https://www.publish0x.com/the-babylon-project/the-babylon-projects-first-donation-to-iran-xozvmwg http://nanowall.link/BabylonProjectXNO
Today, in the course of looking at various technologies that I can potentially use for integrating wallet connection into Web3 Dapps (Unlock looks promising, especially integrating an existing NFT collection), I found a site that offers courses on Web3 development: - Smart Contracts on Ethereum (presumably can be migrated to Arbitrum): https://university.alchemy.com/ethereum - NFT Smart Contracts, creation and Marketplace DApps: https://docs.alchemy.com/docs/welcome-to-the-road-to-web3 Here's the cool thing: The courses (or at least the first one for which one signs up) are free! For a while, I've wanted to learn these technologies and the above courses might just provide exactly that.
I overslept and woke up late this morning. Having finished breakfast, it will be time for lunch soon. I'd best get back to wading through descriptions of jobs I can't do in the hope of finding something that I can do and for which someone is prepared to pay me six grand or more a month.
TIL: There are programming languages, such as Purl, in which the instructions specify patterns for knitting machines. Well, I'll be damned! I found this out while looking at various posted job positions today. Yes, I actually got through what I needed to today and managed to make a start on looking at the content of my inbox. I don't think "knitwear programmer" is a role I'll fill any time soon, however ...
You can set your alarm as early as you like and tell yourself multiple times that you're not a terrible and useless person, but if it's in your nature, you're not going to change what's deep down, suddenly start getting up earlier and achieving more. THis whole weekend, I've been struggling to get up early, get out of the weeds and arrive at the starting block before the whole day has gone. It hasn't happened yet. I'm tired and going to bed. Maybe tomorrow will be better, but I fucking doubt it.
Here's a fine idea: Take two cishet white men incapable of doing self reflection or emotional labour, from First World countries, and make them moderators of a multicultural chat group. What could possibly go wrong? For that matter, I wonder if any of the moderators are not white First Worlders ...
TIL: Banano is a place in the Dominican Republic. There are multiple places, throughout the world, called Banana. The Congo and Kiribati contain two of them.
When I see people complaining about the WEF and/or WHO "telling us what to do", I assume that they're too stupid to understand the difference(s) between guidelines, recommendations and rules. I also assume that they can't see past their indignant and self-entitled gut reaction long enough to consider why a little personal discomfort/difficulty in their lives for the potential benefit of anyone other than themselves. Politically, my views are anarchic and I'm dubious of authority in general, particularly any that tells me what to do without my asking for that input. Socially, I'm a strong believer in Humanism and doing what does the most good for the most (ideally all) people. Maybe it's because I happen to agree with those organisations' pronouncements, but I don't find them to be controlling or oppressive to anyone who intends to be a decent human being. Thanks for telling on yourself. Here's your sign. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yvj_acGhbPk
Once you end up on the killing floor, it's highly unlikely you'll ever get off it (other than dead). The more time spent on it, the less likely a clean exit. The only way out seems to be through, but it's an arduous and draining process (or so I continue to find, anyway).

I have five things I want to get done today, all of which are to do with finding some sort of employment and none with being a glorified dog butler. Yet, that's the majority of what I have done this morning. I'm definitely terrible at getting things done at the best of times, so it's noticeably worse when I'm sick. I'm not at all amused. "Get some dogs", they said. "They'll enhance your life immeasurably", they said. That's all well and good until said pooches get old and lose the plot. Caring for them is quite a large responsibility to take on, especially since I struggle to even adequately take care of myself ...
