A friend of mine sends me motivational quotes almost every day, to keep me inspired and positive until my situation is better (and also to remind me that there are still people whom care about me). One of the more recent ones stated this: "There are some things in life that money just can't buy, like integrity, manners, morals and the love of certain beautiful dark-haired women in short skirts, long jackets and tall boots." OK, wait a minute, maybe not the last one, then ... I guess I'm fortunate that I've never had to, for reasons that I still find largely unfathomable.
