Here is our first rule of grammar. There are some modal verbs. I will give you a list of those modal verbs later. So if you use modal verbs in your sentence you need to use the present from of a verb.Just keep the base form without changing anything.
Can,could, may, might, shall, should, will, would are some of the examples of modal verbs.

Now lets see some examples of modal verbs.
Mena should do the job.
He must play.
I can illustrate.

See above sentences have should, must, can all these verbs are modal verbs and look at the base form of the verbs.

I think this rule is clear to you. Let me clear it up again to you. If you use any modal verb in your sentence than your second verb will be in present form.

Now lets go to our second rule.

This rule is about when to use past form. There are some selective words. After using those words you have to use past form of the verb. Let me clarify my statement again.

You have to use verbs past form after some of the specific words. So the question is what are these specific words?

Yesterday, ago, Last day or any time like month, week, hour ,day before yesterday are the specific words. If your sentence have these mentioned words that use the past form of verb.

Now lets see an example.

Sajna came home yesterday.
I went Australia last month.

Look closely. Can you see anything different? "Came" and "Went" are the past form of the verb "Come" and "Go" and did you notice the specific words?

"Yesterday" and "Last month".
I think I've made it clear to you.

Now lets learn our third rule today. If you want to express something some incident that is already happened in the past and you are quite sure about that than you need to use "must have" in your sentence along with verbs past participle form. Is it clear to you? Okay if not,let me give you an example.

Jisun didn't go to market yesterday. He must have been ill.

Here as we can see Jisun didn't go to market yesterday. As he didn't go to market yesterday, the speaker is quite sure that Jesun was ill. Now let me clarify this again to you.

If any event already happened in the past and you are quite sure about that to express something like that you need to use "must have" in your sentence and don't forget to use the past participle form of the verb.

Now let me ask you a question. If anything already happened in the present or just happened how will you express this kind of things?

In our previous rule we have learned past events. Now we will learn already happened present events or incidents. So here is how to express it.

You have to follow the structure of future perfect tense. I'm telling you again any event already happened in the present and you are quite sure about that.

In that case just follow the future perfect tense structure.

Jesun will have reached Peru by this time.
You are quite sure that Jesun already reached Peru.

Here "by this time" refers to the present time. You may think that I've used future tense expressing something present. How is this possible?

Yes no need to think about that.To express something that is already happened in the present time ,you can use future perfect tense.

Here is the structure:
First you need to use a subject, than use shall have or will have and use the past participle form of the verb.
Subject+ Shall have/Will have+ Past participle form of the verb.

Now lets learn our last rule of grammar today. I think this is enough today.

If you use this expressions in your sentence "let, had rather, had better, would better, do not, does not, need not or did not" you need to use the present form of your verb. You see there is a word " had rather" it may look like to you expressing something in the past. But no! Just keep the base form or present form of your verb.

Do not change it.
Now lets study some of the examples:
Jesun had better go home.
Jesun need not go home.

So here we are. If you have any questions about todays lessons you can ask me freely. I was sick yesterday. Thats why I cant continue my writing. Today I'm feeling much better and I will continue writing.
