Fruits irrespective of the colour, shape or size is the ultimate source of vitamin and nutrients. These are the building blocks of our body.

To enjoy a healthy and disease free life we must take some fruits on our daily diet.

We all have a soft corner for fruits and all have particular choice of fruit. But do you know that these fruits are the raw materials of jam, jelly or juices.

But you'll wonder knowing that jam jelly's that we consume today, in the previous centuries these methods are used to preserve fruits for a very long time.

Day by day it has become a daily diet of our every day life.Jam,jelly or juices has become a must have part of our dinning table.

To make jelly different types of fruits are used and these are used to maintain different flavours.

For example jelly's made from Mango, Pineapple and Guava are available in every chain shop's. So today in my article I'll share an amazing journey of fruits and how they become jam and jelly.

Though we all have different particular choice but all the fruits have to go through the same path for becoming a jar of jelly. To be honest I love jelly's made from oranges.

The first step is to pick up fruits from the farmers garden. When picking up the fruits the best quality is ensured. But do you know that some fruits were picked ripe and some picked raw.

All it takes 12 to 24 hours to reach at the factory. They need to hurry because if the fruits reach to the factory late than the good quality will be lost.

Jam or jelly, the process starts with sugar and a chemical element named Pectin. Juice is used to make jelly and the body of the fruit is used to make jam. Most interesting fact is when the question of jelly comes some vegetables also attend there.

Sugar is used mainly to make the jelly more sweet and some cases e.g. Apple, Berry, Grape's it is used to condense the liquid mixture. In order to make the jelly more flavoursome some other elements like vanilla is added.

When the fruits finally reached at the factory than they again go through a special quality checking. These checkings ensure the quality of jam or jelly.

Only the fruits passed the quality test can move forward to the next step. In the next step they go through a funnel where the fruits were washed , cut and mashed.

Continuous flow of water makes the washing process more accurate. Now it's the time to choose there destiny.

If the batch is selected for the production of jelly than only the juices were picked and if jam than the main body is picked.

In the next step fresh juice were dumped into a huge oven where it was cooked at the temperature of 212 degree Fahrenheit and about to cool down very shortly.

The cool down process is done very rapidly. If any extra flavour is needed to add , they add it in this step. After cooling down the liquid juice get condensed and move towards next step. Can you name what the next step is?

Yes the jelly is finally made and the batch is finally start moving towards the filling station. Jelly came from one way and the containers came from one way by a belt. The container gets filled with a blink of an eye.

Here is the last step of the successful journey. In this step labelling is done and go to the storage unit. From the storage jelly goes to the shop and than to our dinning table. That is how after a completing a long journey it reaches our food table.

Here is my last two talks. We just eat our food and don't know how these foods are made and how much labor a farmer gave behind a red apple. We should know the background stories of farming because this is one of the most underrated profession.

Just imagine if the farmers stops cultivating foods how can we get food to eat? Let's respect the farmers who work that hard to keep us free from hunger and let's take a vow today we will not waste a single slice of food from today.
