Marriage is a lifetime commitment. I remembered my grandmother before, she is so dedicated with being a wife and a mother that she forgets to enjoy life.
She wakes up at 3AM to fetch water from the well while everyone's still asleep. She would then start to cook some food. While waiting, she would wash the laundry and would get up from time to time to check the food she's cooking.
When the sun would start to show up my grandpa would then get up from bed and sit on the table while my grandma would come running to prepare his food.
But at times like my grandpa would have a hangover or woke up in the wrong side of the bed plus if he doesn't like the food being prepared he would throw it to my grandma's face and force her to give him money.
My grandpa had couple of vices and it has never been easy for my mom seeing her mother like that as she grew up. They are 6 siblings and there were days when they thought everything's gonna be fine and some days when they would get up hearing their parents shouting and my grandma being punched.
But who am I to judge? As we grew up we never saw those side of my grandpa. We know him as someone who would just sing us Visayan songs as we sleep during Siesta.
A man, a woman, a person cannot be good with everything. We are born imperfect and sinners but despite what happened my mom instilled that if we get married and find a partner that is the same as how my grandpa treat my grandma then LEAVE. Forget about vows, forget about that piece of paper you signed because there are many things that life could give you other than sacrificing for someone unworthy.
But if I may ask, what is your ideal man?
Someone who gives presents?
Someone who gives you time?
Rich and famous?

FIND A PERSON WHO LOVES YOU MORE THAN YOU LOVE HIM.
-Someone who loves you so much couldn't make you feel pain that is intentional because he would also suffer seeing you hurt. He would move heaven and earth just to be with you. He will bring out the best of him to make you proud.
FIND A PERSON WHO LOVES YOUR FAMILY
-Find someone who gives value to your family as you love them. Someone who us also family oriented because from there he would understand why there are times you would have to sacrifice.
FIND A PERSON WHO LOVES CHILD
-Look for that man who loves children. Someone who has a soft spot to kids because that man would never let your kids feel hungry. He would also do his best to provide everything.
FIND A PERSON WHO HAS PLANS FOR BOTH OF YOU
-Be with someone who has plotted plans and is showing dedication to fulfill it even before you get married. That type of man who wouldn't go to battle unprepared.

Set standards because that person that you would allow to be with you will be the mother or father of your child so make sure to give them the best while you work on doing your best too!
This is so true. We should also find someone who would never want to see us suffer and someone who wants the best for us. Marriage is a forever event so jumping into it, you need to be with someone that will always be there for you.
