Why Do We Struggle?
What causes us to struggle? Why is it that we live in a world where there is so much disparity between the rich and the poor? Why do some people experience tragedy during their life while others appear to sail through theirs with ease?
I believe there are only two reasons why we struggle in life: The first is that we're simply not well equipped to deal with the challenges presented to us. And secondly, I believe we don't have adequate support systems in place.
Of course there are myriad factors and issues that I'm not qualified to delve into but my opinion on this matter has been formed by observing and interacting with many people of different backgrounds and upbringings.
The world is a tough place. Many people wake up with the difficulty of making ends meet, being stuck in the rat race, and not knowing what the future holds for them. Indeed, life seems tough at times. The problem is that you're not struggling because you make mistakes in life or because of your bad luck. You strife because you fail to take control of your life. You fail to make progress in life. You fail to see that it's all your fault.
In fact, there is one simple action that anyone can do in order to have a great life: Learn from the past, listen to the present and plan ahead.
However, it's hard work. It's not easy to ask someone else for help because we tend to feel as if we're a burden. We don't want to share our struggles with others because we think others are doing better than us. We also tend to run away from our problems instead of battling through them and finally solving them.
We all struggle with something. When one door closes, another door opens.
The only question is what are you going to do about it?
Will you do the necessary steps to get through it?
Or will you be lost, confused, scared and run away from it?
Will you have the courage to face reality and demons of your past?
Or run away from those demons and be stuck in a maze of fear?
Will you embrace reality for what it is and not for what you want it to be?
Or run away from it, because reality or situation doesn't suit you?
Will you take responsibility for your situation and take action?
Or run away from it as if you have nothing to do with it?
Will you decide to make positive changes in your life?
Or continue to fail over and over again because things are so much easier that way?
Will you understand that every failure teaches us something valuable?
Or will you run away from every failure because failure is not an option for you?
Will you realize that struggle won't last forever. That one day, everything will make sense.
And then, one day, when you are ready to face reality, everything will make sense. And then life will be so much easier than before.
Struggles in life can come in many forms. There are times where we might face health issues, relationship problems, financial struggles and even career issues. When we find ourselves in these situations, it can be easy to blame life and let that cause us to give up when the reality is that life is only a mirror back to us.
Life is a gift and every moment of it should be lived without regrets. If there are things that we wish we could change or do differently in our lives, then there are also things in life that you should appreciate.
The struggle is real, and we all have them. Whether it's a failed relationship, or trying to figure out what we want to do with the rest of our lives, struggles are part of life.
Some people choose to use their struggles as fuel to motivate them to move forward, whereas others let their struggles consume them and prevent them from getting past that moment.
The key is not how do you deal with your struggles, but rather how will you deal with your struggles? Will you choose to keep struggling or will you continue to work towards being prosperous and happy? Regardless, the most important thing to remember is that everyone has struggles in life. No matter how successful, happy, pretty or perfect they seem on the outside, they still have something that they're dealing with every single day. Your purpose may be to help them overcome their struggle or it may be to inspire them to look beyond their struggle and thrive. Either way, you'll never know unless you ask.
So next time you encounter an individual who appears to have their life together, don't think of it as an opportunity to criticize that person's success and happiness. Instead, think of it as an opportunity for you to learn from someone else's struggles so that you can help them get past theirs.
Have you ever felt alone in your struggles? Have you ever felt like a failure? I think we all have. Maybe you're struggling to pay rent, or keep your head above water. Maybe you have a disease or a disability and you feel like life isn't fair. Maybe you're struggling with your love life or you're single and looking. Maybe you're trying to change your career but can't seem to find the right opportunity. Maybe you're getting by but feel like there's more to life than what you have now. There are many different kinds of struggle and many different kinds of people who feel them. It's normal, it's not just you, there is support and there are solutions and someone is always willing to help.Â
Sensible questions here, Giddyboy. And no, we should not run away from struggles or challenges of life. We must face them head on hehe.
