The answer is yes, to a certain extent. It is certainly true that you are the one who determines your own destiny; however, this does not mean that you have total control over it. To make things clearer lets look at the following example:
You are on a race track in a five-seater car. Four of you are experienced drivers and have been racing for years, while the fifth one is driving the car for the very first time in life. You all know that the driver is inexperienced and you really want to win the race. Alas, you end up loosing. Who do you think is to be blamed for loosing? You of course. Not the other drivers, including the inexperienced driver. But would you have been able to do anything to win while the race was still on? No! at that moment, you don’t have total control over your future. One the other hand. If the team of drivers have chosen someone among the experienced ones to be behind the wheel, they might just have ended up winning.
“Don't waste your time on people who you think can change your future. Some people in your life are like a train that passes by, they come, they go and someone else takes the place.”
Don't wait for a person to see you or show you love or happiness. You have to take charge of your life and be ok with the fact that no one else has to agree with your opinions or your journey. You can't control other people, so stop wasting your time trying. There will always be someone who will want to pull you down, either because they are jealous, or they are just unhappy with their own lives. If you know what you want out of life, and you work towards it, you will eventually find yourself getting close to it. People come into your life for different reasons and when they leave, they should leave a mark on you and make you a better version of yourself.
The purpose of this article is to let you know that you can decide your future. Just realize that most of the things in life are up to your decision and not others around you. How you respond to the ups and downs of life shows how you are in control of your future.
Stay simple, stay smart and make every day count. Your future does depends on you more often than not. People often look at their surrounding wondering why others have achieved more than them, sometimes even thinking that these others have some kind of a god-like status around them. This is very understandable, because sometimes the surrounding seems to have an effect on everything that happens to us: whether you get into a car accident or win a marathon, whether you make progress in your career or get promoted or something else… In this case it is possible to think that our future is not actually controlled by us but rather by our surroundings.
So, the question is, how do you take charge of your life, to let you know that you can decide your future and help yourself?
The question usually comes in the face of an event that makes us feel helpless and desperate. And we ask ourselves questions: "Is it my fault?" "What will happen next?" "My future is destroyed." "Do I have to pay for this forever?”
We think we're doomed to live with this pain, we feel exhausted and depressed, we've come to a conclusion that there are no options for us other than being prisoners of our emotions, waiting for relief to come, but it does not come. So here is a guide for you on your way
