Your kitchen your happiness

In just a part of every home, there is a perfect corner that never ceases to put a smile on the family's face. It often never disappoints at every visit, I am talking about the kitchen; a happiness spot.This happens to be my favorite part in my home, hehe.

I am of the opinion that the kitchen is the center of the house and I don't know whether you agree or disagree with that, it is undeniably a busy place. Everything from preparing our favorite meals, feeding ourselves, and learning to bake with mom to doing homework with your kids, hosting and entertaining friends and guests and using it as a setting to chat over a steaming cup of tea are all done in the kitchen.

It is unquestionably the area in the house that is utilized the most and is where many refreshing memories are made. "Go to the kitchen" is a statement with joy 😊

Is your home's kitchen the center of the house? Do you have any particular kitchen recollections that bring back strong feelings of nostalgia? They act as a wonderful reminder for me that the kitchen is a place where we congregate with our loved ones and create enduring memories.

Even after we become adults and have children of our own, the lessons our own mothers taught us as youngsters remain in our memories until we teach them to our own children. We humans enjoy routine and traditions, and in the kitchen, these things are created, preserved, and passed down through the generations. I was taught to cook by my mom and elder sisters just as they have learnt from someone else which they supersede.

Families are rushing around the kitchen every day, preparing a delicious dinner to wind down for the evening or batch cooking snacks for a game night with friends as they rush out the door for school and work. Just as yesterday with my work colleague and my cousin sis, we had a dope night of refreshment by making an expensive dish.

Every day, these moments are filled with love, laughter, and happiness. The same, or at least not to the same extent, cannot be said for any other room in the house, in my opinion. Consider a recording of your kitchen and fast-forward the time you spend there. You might be shocked by how much time you actually spend in the kitchen each day. So many dinners were cooked, talks had, gatherings held, and feelings experienced. The focal point of our homes and more.. our kitchens are as active as our lives.

Do you laugh, tell jokes, or dance together whether you're alone in the kitchen just like me, with your kids, your partner, or your friends? They are fantastic because they capture the basic absurdity of the kitchen! The heart of the home is where everyone enjoys themselves and where some of us hone our dance talents.

The satisfaction of having a kitchen full of delights can be motivating, especially when you consider your own family and the memories you create there. However, my story of baking pancakes on a Saturday morning with my colleague and sis stood out to me. What could be more endearing than this? The fundamental principle of spending time with one other and creating enduring traditions and memories, remains the same whether your tradition is baking brownies on movie night or serving your mother breakfast of pancakes like I did on a Saturday morning.

The kitchen must be the center of the home because it is said that food is the gateway to our hearts, it makes me think about how crucial it is to have a kitchen that you genuinely love. When you realize how integrally connected to our lives and the scene of so many memories our kitchens are, it somehow puts things into perspective and motivates us to create the kitchen of our dreams.
