This is something new, I didn't have much to deliver for an article so I decided to continue where @Princessbusayo stopped her article titled "I MADE A MISTAKE OF MY LIFE"
The story was about the story of a lady who fell in love with a guy, the love was strong until she got pregnant. The guy pretended to be happy about it but he lied, he started showing attitude and that was how the relationship ended. She got rid of the pregnancy and vowed never to love again.
I got tired of giving my heart to anyone since the last relationship crashed", this was Nancy's last words as she ended the call of her new admirer.
(Admirer, I think it is worth her screaming at any man that comes her way but let's read before judging the new guy).
George is an aeronautic engineer who lives in Edo State where Nancy was posted for service, she was really happy she was posted far away from home because of what happened between her and Cole, at least the new environment would make her meet more people even though she wasn't ready to be serious with anyone.
George and Nancy met at a store where they came to shop differently, they bumped into each other mistakenly. Nancy got mad even though she was at fault, she has been harsh towards men since Cole left because she believed all men are the same.
Unfortunately for her, her phone dropped into the stranger trolley when they collided. She didn't know until she got home and George tried to catch up with her but she was too quick to enter the cab that brought her to the store.
He was waving the phone but she thought he was trying to take her number so she just ignored him. George hopped into his jeep but couldn't catch up because a delivery truck blocked his car and by the time he was able to move out, the cab had gone and he couldn't guess which road they went through. It was 9 pm already, he decided to park at a bar and waited if she was going to call or probably return to check the store for the phone.
On getting home, Nancy screamed and started trembling when she discovered her phone was missing. She ran to her mate who also came for service to help her call the phone, George was dozing already when the phone rang but he picked up before it stopped ringing.
Nancy: Hello, please the phone you are receiving this call belongs to me. I am the lady you just dropped off.
George: Good evening madam.
Nancy: Good evening sir, please I will pay you for returning the phone. I have lots of important documents there. (she started praying for the receiver)
George: I am not the cabman, I guess your phone dropped in my trolley when you bumped into me at the store about an hour and a half ago at the store in the City square.
Nancy: Thank you, can I come and pick it now?
George: It is dangerous for a lady to move around this late, just tell me where you stay and I will just drop it off. I have been waiting for the call that's I hang around the store.
Nancy was reluctant to give her address but she ended up giving it to George, he checked his google map and set off. It took time before he could locate the Corps lodge but thanks to the help of the shop owners in the area that guided him.
She was waiting hoping he wasn't deceiving her. He horned twice and she ran outside to see who came around, it was dark so she couldn't see his face properly but George recognized her. He handed over the phone and apologized for what happened at the store earlier. Nancy was shocked because she knew she was at fault, she apologized and thanked him a lot.
George asked if they could talk some other time and she gave him her Facebook ID because she didn't want anything serious with anyone.
They started communicating there and Nancy later gave her number, she always acts stubborn just to prevent George from asking her out because his action was telling already.
George couldn't help it and he asked her out because he was deeply in love with her, Nancy didn't give a response but she was ready to help George spend his money. He didn't hesitate to give her anything and even sponsored her weekend vacation several times with the hope that she was going to consider him one day.
On this fateful day, they went out together as usual. Nancy had too much to drink that she lost control of herself in public, it was too late to let her be alone so George took her to his apartment. He took care of her clothes and gave her a cold bath just to make her feel good, he placed her on his bed while he went to sleep on the couch. She woke up at midnight to find George sleeping on the couch, she squeezes herself into his arm, and cuddling started. They both got in the mood and had sex, it was like a dream come true for George because he knew that was automatically a yes to his love proposal.
Fast forward>>>>>
Nancy started seeing signs after few weeks and knew she was pregnant even before going to the hospital. She was scared to tell George because he could disappear just like Cole did but she summoned the courage, picked up her phone, and sent a text.
George didn't call or reply to her, he went straight to a bakery to get a big cake. He got some wine as well and went straight to her place, she couldn't believe he was happy about it and they both had a great time indoor planning on the next step.
On getting home, George got a call from the headquarters. He needed to go and work somewhere in a neighboring country, it was late and he didn't want to disturb his lover who was already sleepy before he left so he went straight to catch the night flight at the airport.
While he was moving his luggage, he forgot to pick his phone from his car safe. He parked the car and locked it somewhere in the airport since it was a few days' trips.
He landed in South Africa before daybreak and it was then he realized he didn't take his phone, too bad he didn't know Nancy's number off hand. He waited till morning and got a new phone and Nancy, on the other hand, has been calling and she was already assuming that she has been dumped again.
George got a small phone just for call and tried reaching her immediately he found her number in his diary but she wasn't picking the strange call because it wasn't a Nigerian number, she thought it could be scammers since they are operating very well and duping people
She was worried just like George. Finally, the phone George left here wasn't reachable anymore because the battery went off. He stopped trying to reach her because he finished the job earlier than expected and was waiting for the pilot to test the flight before he leaves back for Nigeria.
Nancy went to his house every day and on the fifth day, she went straight to the hospital for an abortion because she thought George disappeared because of her. She was turned down by the hospital and she met a nurse secretly to do it for her.
After the abortion was successful, she put her phone in airplane mode before she slept off for over four hours at the nurse's secret hospital. She woke up to see series of messages on her phone from George after turning off the airplane mode. Nancy couldn't believe her eyes with the last text that said, "baby I am sorry, I didn't know things would go like this". I know you aren't picking up because you are mad at me, I promise to make it up to you and I will be at your place in few hours. I am driving home now.
Nancy burst into tears, she managed to find her way home because she wasn't feeling great after the abortion. It has been over 2hrs since George texted her and surprisingly, she met him sitting in his car outside the house when she got home.
Immediately she saw him, she fainted. What next? I challenge @olawalium to continue from where I stopped.
This is saddening. Nancy shouldn't have taken such harsh measures so quick. I know she's damaged due to previous experience but don't we have single mothers surviving out there? . Never be in a haste to abort a baby. Never... let's see what happens next.
