Staying healthy costs less.

It would be great if everyone knew how living a healthy life can be so cheap if you are truly determined to stay healthy. I find it very funny how people spend so much to stay healthy with medicine and supplements(drugs) while they can increase their chances of staying healthy with the things they do in terms of feeding and the environment where they live in.

The things we give to our body through the mouth matters a lot and I think that's the first means of staying healthy in the world we live in today, the situation of the environment sometimes can't be influenced by just one person but we have power over the things we give to our body system.

Food is a very important thing we can't live without as humans and despite how important it is, it can cut human life short if not paid attention to or taken properly. There are numerous kind of food out there that ranges from taste, price and their impact on the body system and those things determine our choice of the kind of food we eat.

I observed that the foods that do lots of good to the body are very much cheaper than junk food that can cause our health to deteriorate and yet people still ignore the cheap and benefitting food for something expensive.

The smallest pack of pizza in my country is around $6 and I have seen people who can't go two days without having the snacks and these can of people find it hard to buy fruits with less than a dollar whereas, the fruits would play a better role to the body system.

Today, there are lots of health challenges than we have before. The world now believes mostly in junk and fast food which ain't making our health any better unlike our forefathers that ate lots of fruits and vegetables, they were healthy, strong, and even lived longer but it so unfortunate that this generation has turned blind eyes to good foods.

I am not in any way condemning any food but covering up those junks with healthy foods will go a long way for us and it would help reduce our exposure to illness.

Back to the main purpose of the topic, I have concluded that staying healthy wouldn't cost much because foods like vegetables and fruits are the cheapest food to get in a food store and it would even be cheaper if you try to have few fruit trees and vegetable plants in your environment.

Fruits

Fruits are one of the cheapest food in the world, it has lots of benefit to the human body and it tastes great than any food out there due to its natural sweetness.

Having junks as a meal cost a lot but with a dollar or less, you can ha e varieties of fruit available for consumption.

Vegetables are another cheap food that does lots of good to the body due to their richness in vitamins. One thing I love about vegetables is their ability to grow quickly and be ready for consumption within few weeks depending on how good the soil is.

Eating vegetables doesn't require you to break the bank, you can plant it within your home and eat lots of it when you harvest.

It looks somehow to have just vegetables and fruits every day as a meal but we can include them into our meal every day.

Since junk meals are kind of inevitable for many of us, we must always try to remove the food toxins from the body by cleaning the body system. We all have different ways of doing it and I will be sharing my method of removing dirt accumulated through junk from my body system.

I will be talking about two powerful G's I learned from my mum while growing up. We use to have various containers with label of the content in it glued to them which are all herbs. There is this container I do away with then because of its content which ended up to be one of my important and favorite drugs due to its efficiency.

I present to you GARLIC and GINGER, I didn't like them as a child/teen due to their odor.

I know a lot of people that blend them in their food but have you tried making juice out of combining garlic and ginger? It is a very simple process in making the juice. They are both cheap, a hundred naira ginger and garlic of that same money value can last you over a month if you form the habit of taking 2 two teaspoons daily in the morning. You might be wondering why I placed much importance on them, below are some of what it does to our body system.

Garlic:

1. It is a blood thinner that helps to lower both high blood pressure and blood triglycerides.

2. Garlic also has anti-inflammatory.

3. Taking garlic can reduce the risk of certain cancers, including colon, stomach, esophagus.

4. It has been tested effective in treating different ailments, including intestinal disorders, flatulence, worms, respiratory infections, skin diseases, wounds, and symptoms of aging. 


Additionally, garlic is a triple threat against infections, offering antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties.

 Ginger:

1. It also has been used to help treat arthritis, colic, flatulence, motion sickness, morning sickness, painful menstrual periods, and the common cold.

2. It can help promote healthy sweating, which can assist detoxification during colds and flu. 

3. Daily ginger use has been found effective for relieving muscle pain following strenuous exercise, and also has provided relief from pain and swelling in patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, or general muscular discomfort. 

How to prepare: 

Step1:Get the ginger and garlic, remove the back cover

Step2:Put them in a bowl and rinse with water properly.

Step3:Get your blender ready for work. Put the ginger and garlic in the blender add a normal quantity of water. Blend till it is smooth. 

Step 4:Sieve it to remove the remaining unblended particles. Turn into a clean container, it is ready for consumption.

Another thing I love about this stuff is the availability, you can see them everywhere in food stores.

Please before trying it, ensure you know if you are allergic to any of it but trust me it is one of those cheap things that can keep you healthy, fit, and strong.

In Nigeria, people even form class with junk food and it makes me laugh a lot. This generation is just obsessed with unhealthy lifestyles.
