A simple Christmas Wish.

It was a silent and terrible moment for Nathan when his condition was disclosed to him, he didn't believe he had Cancer already. His parent telling him what to do, eat and vice versa worsened his problem, they made him understand that he can survive and conquer the illness because God loves him.

He has seen true life experiences, seen movies, and knew what it can do at first hand so he wasn't convinced about any miracle.

He started living by rules and it was difficult in the first few months for him but soon, it became part of his life. He got into college and was looking great but he went to the hospital from time to time, he tried as much as possible to hide his conditions and it worked out because he wasn't showing any sign of illness but he couldn't hide it for long.

After one year in college, Nathan started losing weight and it became very clear that something was wrong with him. He missed classes and couldn't participate in social stuff as he does before, he dropped football after collapsing twice again.

His extrovert life disappeared into the thin air, he gradually cut himself from the world as he prepared his soul for death. He had tried taking his life on two different occasions due to depression but his plot failed and he lived to see another day.

Every attempt to make him happy failed, he just lock himself in his room all day. He only feels natures love when going for his dialysis, everyone gave up on him since he has decided to live and do the same thing every day for the past two years.

He clocked sixteen and it was supposed to be one of his happiest moments but it went the other way round, Nathan wasn't impressed by the surprise birthday. He kept emphasizing the fact that he was getting closer to his end every day and he thinks of the fact that the day would come when he won't be able to see the daylight any longer, it broke his mother's heart and she always wish she could give out her good health to him but that's impossible.

Seventeen passed, eighteen did as well and nothing changed, Nathan's last appointment with the doctor didn't end well. The doctor made it clear to his parent that he might not last a year since his cells are completely down, the news threw the family into complete sadness for weeks.

Poor Nathan prepared himself and prayed to God always because he didn't want to leave the world so soon. On this fateful day, he took his iPad to play games when an advert popped up, it had to do with a social platform called Noise cash.

He never the name before so he had to check it because it had a five-star rating, he registered and soon he found himself engaging. His parent noticed that he was always talking at the dining table about new cultures of people in faraway countries and they were happy he opened his mind to something again.

He became popular and was even earning well and to crown it all he met a friend named Ishita, she lived in the United state but schools in India.

They became friends and their friendship got deeper outside the platform even though they haven't met before. Ishita knew very well about Nathan's condition but that never stopped her from loving him and Nathan was crazy about her as well, he talked to her and about her all day. His parent was worried that he would break the heart of this young girl someday but they were inseparable despite being distant friends.

Ishita wouldn't be seeing Nathan until the end of the year because she comes home only at the end of the year and Nathan might not live to mark his nineteenth year birthday as predicted by the doctors, Nathan started feeling like he wouldn't rest in peace if he didn't meet Ishita before he dies.

He grew weaker day by day and a few days before Ishita's arrival, he fell ill again. This time, it looked like death held his hands already. They were both in tears while talking on the phone, his heart was slowly stopping but he stayed strong just to see the person who gave him a reason to stay alive again.

Ishita was going to come to the U.S on the 22nd and Nathan's birthday was on the 25th but Nathan's heart stopped working a few hours after he got a message from Ishita that she has landed and would be coming to the hospital later with her parent. The doctor tried everything but it all failed, he was gone forever.

Ishita knew something was wrong when she couldn't reach him anymore, she cried and her parents were surprised because it was very unusual for her so they used the map to search for the hospital.

Meanwhile, Nathan's soul was wandering around when he met a man dressed in Santa clothes and he asked what Nathan wanted for Christmas, he replied: " I am dead, how do you intend fulfilling the wish of a dead boy. Anyway, I want to spend some days with Ishita before dying, she must be feeling terrible now".

The man laughed and told him his wish has been granted, Nathan was looking around when woke up again at the hospital and that was a total miracle. He took his phone and called Ishita, she was happy to see the call so she gave her parent the proper description of the hospital.

Seeing each other seems to be the best moment of their lives, Nathan felt healthy and it looked like nothing was wrong. He told only Ishita his experience with the miraculous Santa, he was discharged and he pleaded to spend some time with Ishita which both parents agreed to since they were both adults.

For the first time, he converted his Bitcoin cash into fiat, and they both set out for an adventure. Nathan marked his 19th birthday in style, they spent three days having fun and exploring the other side of the country.

When they returned home, Nathan's parents were so happy to see him very happy. His dad took the responsibility of driving Ishita back home and they never wished to let each other go but Ishita had to return to her family, she knew they only allowed her to go on the trip with a stranger because it was her first time begging for such a thing from them.

Nathan went back home, he told his parents about everything that happened during the trip and they were all happy to see him smiling again.

He made plans of returning to school, joining the football team again before going to bed that night but he didn't wake up to see the morning light, Ishita didn't believe her ears.

She wept and ended up in the hospital, she then remembered his experience with Santa. She made up her mind to always mark his birthday every year even in his absence, it took her over a decade to love again.
