A Special Day For Special People
On October 5, there is an international commemoration of teachers day. After a pandemic that lasted for much too long, all students have now got the chance to see their teachers in person and participate in a personal celebration of Teachers Day.
This was meant to go up yesterday, but I forgot since I got too occupied and was too exhausted when I came home. We intended to give them a small token of appreciation yesterday to celebrate teachers' day. After class yesterday, we decided to surprise them by giving them sashes with the lines Happy Teacher's Day printed on them.
It got more amusing when we saw that one of the sashes we presented to one of our professors is missing a letter on it and he was complaining that it was his first time receiving a sash with the wrong spelling on its title to it joking way. Apart from the sash, we gave them chocolates and cassava cake as they are the only things we college students' budgets can currently afford, and since our professors often ask to have Tayabas' famous cassava cake.
It turns out that the way this special day is celebrated at college is really different from in elementary and high schools. It's like October 5th wasn't that special for them, our college professors were too occupied with teaching and providing us a lesson just like a regular day. Maybe that's the reason why they appreciated us so much that we remembered to greet them on that day.
After a particularly demanding day, we were relieved to have class end early and we got to hang out at one of our classmates' homes. We cook adobo and have a boodle fight for our lunch and we just spend the rest of the day chit-chatting just to know more about one another.
Nevertheless, before I go any further, I just want to express my gratitude to all of the teachers out there who make the sacrifices necessary to help us earn our degrees. If it weren't for the important progress we made from what each of the practitioners taught us, we couldn't be more ready to face challenges in the future. We will eventually reach the end of our formative years, finish the degree we are pursuing, and become the next generation of adults and professionals who will serve as role models for younger generations. All of this is made possible by the teachers' significant contributions to the development of our abilities and moral character.
So, from the bottom of my heart, I wish our @TeacherLynlyn together with all of the teachers out there a very happy Teachers' Day and pray that the Lord provides you with many blessings and wisdom.
