He is believed to have died all the way back in 323 BC, at the age of 32, after an all-night drinking bout in Babylonia, with his body then transported to Alexandria, Egypt for burial. However, archaeologists have never found the original site – plenty of ancient tombs have been uncovered but none contain the remains of the famous military leader.
